Hello! I have friends who are considering participating in Elyan Fest 2024 but who do not have Tumblr accounts. Is it sufficient for them to post works to the AO3 collection without doing the additional tag-the-fest-account step on Tumblr? Or is there an alternative way you’d like to be notified when they post a fill to the collection? Thanks for creating this event!

YES that's absolutely fine!

If they're okay with it and you don't mind, I would love to promote their works for them through the blog! If you could just send the me the links when they post, I'll do the rest.

But also if that's something they're not comfortable with I totally understand! At the end of the event I'll also be individually listing and linking everything that was posted both on ao3 and tumblr on the master list.

And please remind them that the prompts I posted are totally optional! They can write whatever they want.

ELYAN FEST 2024 PROMPTS

Just to reiterate: There are NO content bans or minimum/maximum requirements. All dynamics/ratings/whatever are welcome but your creation MUST be Elyan-centric.

When you are ready to post your work, feel free to add it to the collection on Ao3! If you don't have an Ao3 account that's totally fine! Please post your work here on Tumblr and tag the blog directly or with the tag #ELYANFEST2024 within the first 5 tags.

You can submit more than text/audio works to the collection! Ao3 is an archive meaning it is capable of holding all types of media including art and gifs if you would still like to submit your work there.

Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could include which prompts you're filling in your post/on ao3 so I can make sure to put your work in the correct group on the masterpost.

Please remember that these prompts are merely a suggestion and not a requirement. Please use these as you see fit and if you have an idea that doesn't apply to any of them, go for it!

Hello again!

I am now taking responses for the Elyan Appreciation Fest Interest Check! This link will take you to an airtable with four very simple questions. I know google forms is much more widely used, but I just like the format of airtable so much more.

Some other things:

I am planning to host the Elyan Appreciation Fest during the first full week of February (Feb 5-11) in honor of US Black History month (also so it ends right around my birthday but thats neither here nor there). Ideally I'll get prompts decided on and posted before the end of the year so that anyone who wishes to participate has plenty of time to plan or start working. I will go through with the event regardless of the volume of responses to the interest check even if I am the only one posting.

I mention this on the form but depending on the general consensus of how many prompts per day will depend on how broad or specific the prompts will be.

So if the 1-2 is chosen then I will come up with 1-2 very broad prompts for each day. If a greater number is chosen then the prompts will be a bit more specific.
