Today's the day! My newest Reverse kids fic is live!!
You know there are always two sides to every story...
If you're familiar with my previous Reverse fic, 'A New Beginning,' this is Marinette's POV of that encounter. After returning home, Marinette's not in a great place, mentally- this story is less hopeful, less lovesick, a bit darker in tone than Adrien's.
Getting it in just in time to be part of Adrinette April, yay! @adrinetteapril Hopefully this qualifies as prompt #12 Reverse crush, even if things are looking a little bleak right now. ❤
'No End In Sight'
What happens after Marinette & Adrien return to their dimension after the events of the Paris Special? (The Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir) They’ve got to start somewhere… the dark street, right outside the bakery, in the freezing cold, seems as good a place as any.
Nobody ever said that returning to life on the other side of the portal would be easy. For Marinette, things are looking worse than ever. An ominous summons from the Supreme immediately upon their return leaves Marinette shaken and angry with herself, questioning every decision she’s ever made. Will an unexpected visitor help the situation… or just make things worse?

I am super against light pollution, and have been for decades
but I am also super annoyed by the way it's framed as "without light pollution you can see how beautiful the night sky is" way more prominently than it's framed as "hey, did you ever stop to think of how much energy/resources/money are literally wasted by having so much light shine up into the sky?"
so people get the idea that light pollution can only be remedied by eliminating all night-time light, which would make being outside at night very inconvenient, instead of by making night-time light shine only on the ground where, y'know, the people who need it are

The fact that so many countries came together to intercept the Iranian missles before they hit Israel proves that those countries absolutely could prevent more strikes on Palestine; they simply choose not to. Even the ones who have called for a ceasefire.

so... I'm gonna do a quick introduction to my royal family before I hit the hay.
Meet the Royal family of Windenburg!
These are my current main focus, the sisters. Elizabeth, the Queen, and her little sister, Marie-Therese. Fun fact, Marie-Therese is the first ever Windsor to attend University.
And here we have Prince consort, Mikael Windsor. He usually doesn't have a beard, but I let him have his way for this picture.
Our heir to the Throne, Andrew Windsor. He will be an interesting fella for sure...
and finally.... this guy. Marie-Therese's fiancé, Daniel Roos. His mother is the royal advisor, which is how he managed to crawl his way into Marie's life. She, or anyone else, have no clue about Daniel's true nature, but it will slip eventually.... I hope.
so that's the entire family, except Andrew's baby sister, Princess Anne-Marie. she just got born so I forgot to take a picture of her.

The United Nations Security Council on Monday passed its first resolution calling for a Gaza cease-fire after four failed attempts. The United States abstained, allowing it to pass.
The resolution, backed by 14 nations, including China and Russia, demands an immediate cease-fire during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and the release of all hostages.
Four previous cease-fire resolutions had failed, including one proposed by the United States on Friday. The U.S. abstention is likely to further strain U.S. relations with Israel amid sharp disagreements over Israel’s planned military offensive in Rafah.
