You don't have to love someone to be kind and considerate.

An easy way to journal is the Five Things method.
Simply write down five things you did, every day. It doesn't have to be more than a word or two, if that is what works for you. It can be a thought, or a call, a task or a moment of relaxation. Journaling about your day helps you take note of your day (as well as helps to navigate the flow of your thoughts and feelings) and can help you in reflecting and then releasing each day in order to rest well and ready for the next day.

Empowered Endeavors suggests that mindfulness starts with the breathing exercises they teach you in elementary school. Mindfulness is awareness. No judgement, love.
Just keep bringing yourself back to center. It's natural and human of you to have feelings! ps, you don't have to react or respond to it all!
