What an eye sees.
As an individual who shifted out of my home town for education not too long ago, I've noticed things that might not have been possible had I gotten admission at some local university.
I've met people who've had such different lives than I have, lived in a society with much different expectations. Even though we belong to the same nation, we've been brought up in ways so varying at times it's hard to believe.
Some are from cities so polluted they're shocked when they see a night sky filled with stars. Some have lived in such loud environments they find the outskirts peaceful. Some have fell so out of love its hard to convince them it still exists.
So many perspectives, so many point of views I wish I could know all of them but I'm afraid I'm too numb to listen to even a fraction of it. Too selfish to give them the time to hear it all out.

In a world where I wish to express deep sentiments, they only wish to touch the surface.
You isolate yourself but so do they. You want them to know you, and who knows, they wish you'd get to know them too.
#en ruminates#isolation#writeblr#musings#thoughts#this was in my drafts since 9th Jan '24. I wish to empty my drafts

The Check List.
The biggest setback we as humans face when starting anything, is just that, starting.
I took a personality development class this year as a general elective and we were asked to make a list of soft skills we wish to acquire or work on by graduation. At the time I didn't know what to write, so I made a list of the most basic required skills I would need as a student just starting out in the industry (e.g. spoken English, time management, etc.) But now, after thinking a while I would like to make a list of skills that would make me a good individual.
First: As stated before, "Be rid of the fear of staring". After much thought I came to this conclusion that not starting something immediately after I've gained enough knowledge of the topic often leads to me procrastinating by researching more than necessary.
Second: Journal. Not just about the happening of the day but also about the thoughts I had, the behavior I noticed, and the observations I made.
Third: Concentration. Many of us lost the will to concentrate because lockdown conditioned us to consume more of the fast paced media and want to do multiple things at a time. Even now I face issues because I get distracted mid-writing, or in the middle of doing some chores.
Fourth: Think before you react/respond. Its advisable to take a deep breath, think over what has been said, then move forward accordingly. In most cases immediate reaction is not required, if they really wish to know what you have to say they will wait, this will not only keep you from unnecessary conflict but also from being taken advantage of. I've had many situations where a person asked something of me and my response was an immediate yes which I regretted later. P.S. Think over, don't over think.
Keeping the list achievable and not overwhelming I will conclude it here with the deadline being 6 months from now i.e. May 2025.
Check list:-
Just start.
Journal.
Concentrate.
Think over.
Due: May 2025.

Presenting one of the most relatable artists on YouTube, Angel Ganev.

Traits include: comedic, sarcastic, has standards touching the sky that even he cannot achieve, will roast/ constructive criticize your art for fun (quite helpful some of them), let's you make memes about his hair, used-to-be egg daddy.
Vanished after uploading his last video on November 23rd, 2020.
Reappeared 2 and a half years later with some milk,
Only to vanish again with the sentence,
"I promise to read every comment, what I'm not promising is another video soon"
Anyways, he's the same guy whose art was circulating pinterest a few years back.
These for example.
Some of his latest art posts on Instagram,
Check him out if you're an artist, a beginner or someone who's just bored and wants someone new on their feed.
#en ruminates#i didn't know he was back until the day before yesterday when i was checking my subscriptions#quiet an interesting human if you ask me#artist#digital aritst#youtube#Angel Ganev#today on tumblr

When did our generation become so obsessed with the past we stopped living?
Bring back 80s fashion we say, 90s hairstyles, 2000s music.
What about 2020s? Do we have nothing to share? Nothing to show? Nothing to hold on to?
Why are we still living in the pandemic, unable to move forward? How long are we to mourn the ages we lost? How long will it take to embrace that we'll no longer be, no longer are the kids, the teens we were supposed to be?
Do we ever get out? Does the darkness ever end?
#en ruminates#we talk as if we aren't in the early 2000s anymore#2024 is still early if you look at it#we've got time until we reach mid century#i miss the teenhood I didn't have#writeblr#desiblr#80s#90s#2000s#covid#writing#thoughts#musings on life#2024
