I met JT Foxx online. We talked for about five minutes. In that time I told him I would make him a song as a thank you for his courses. True to my word, here it is. It speaks of coaching from JT’s perspective and is introduced by how we met. I based the lyrical content off videos of his talks or speeches like “My Secret to My Success” and “Are you a Snake, Sheep, or a Lion.”

Who Is Eric Leo 108? Eric Leo 108 is not your average hip-hop artist—he’s a revolutionary storyteller, scholar, and voice for education and empowerment. Hailing from Sturgis, Michigan, and armed with a Sociology degree from Eastern Michigan University, Eric fuses rigorous scientific inquiry with the raw energy of hip-hop. Under the banner of FIENSE (a fusion of “science,” “defiance,” and “finance”), he delivers hard-hitting “edutainment” (educational entertainment) that champions social justice, personal growth, and intellectual curiosity.

The Artistry Specializing in thought-provoking, substance-driven music, Eric tackles topics ranging from business and politics to romance and mental health—all through a scientific and philosophical lens. The “Tantu Gems” album is my 115th official release and 199th track published. The beat is from Tantu Beats, features CMadd (on track 1 Fireworks) and was produced by Dirtsquad Produtions.

This is an album of gems that were songs evoked by the feeling of the beat. I often listen to what the beat is telling me, rather then giving it as subject. I listened to what Tantu was telling me with each one on these beats. Because of this the album is a rollercost of emotions. Happy celebration in Fireworks and Selena Gomez, or ridiculousness in Randy, or the sentimental love of The Ocean and Grateful or social justice with Bounce and Atheist Raps 3. This goes through a range of emotions and subjects that will have you nodding to beat, crying, dancing, and laughing.

This is my Rain Man. I honestly think it would be hilarious, that if your a fan of my shit and know the scope, try to get someone to listen to my music for the first time, and show them this track first. Like hype me up as the realest and illest lyracist, then play them this track. Laugh about how it’s weird, about nothing, and doesn’t make sense, and then play some real shit like “Corporate Rule.” Anyways, this track is definitely a joke. Honestly I’m like 200 tracks deep and you get tired of the same and want to switch it up and experiment with your audience. This is that.

I’m starting to make music for other artists, both beats with hooks and talking to them in my music more. Although this is not overtly directed toward them it could be applied. This song is about tough love and keeping your eyes on the goal reguardless of the distractions. It’s somewhat of a mindframe or framework for finding that one love through truth.
