why is The Great War by Taylor Swift such an underrated song. I love the metaphors in the song and the beauty of commitment in long term relationships. ‘ I vowed I would always be yours if we survived the Great War ’ and they did survive and so they worked out. I just think it’s such an amazing song that perfectly resembles what soulmates have to go through. They have to fight through battles against one another in order to come to the conclusion that they’re better not fighting with one another, but instead being on the same side as each other.

I miss the bike rides after school to my friends house, the barbies and American girl dolls that I’d run to after completing my homework, wearing a bathing suit under my outfit because I would always go swimming at my neighborhood pool whenever I had the opportunity, screaming frozen songs at the top of my lungs at any given moment, playing dress up with my friends, eating cookie dough with my mom as we bake cookies at midnight, dancing to Beyoncé songs in the living room with my dad, wasting all my coins at the arcade just so I could win a stupid raspberry flavored lollipop, making snow angels in the snow then immediately running inside due to how cold it is, wearing massive Jojo Siwa bows in my hair everyday at school, secretly giving my red gushers to my friend because I didn’t like them,confidently smiling in school pictures because I was genuinely happy to smile, racing my friends from the gym to the black top, being the only child, and going to WaWa to get chocolate milk on the weekends. I miss childhood and the happiness I had when I didn’t know anything. Letting life come at me with open arms. Living in the moment. Now I’ve taken on the responsibility of being the oldest sister which is hard, but it’s even harder when your siblings are way younger than you so your parents don’t have much time for you and when they do they’re very drained from taking care of your younger sibling. All your friends are no longer available and those same friends that you had in kindergarten are no longer around for many different reasons. I’m a mirrorball, nothing new, all too well, my tears ricochet, savior complex, liability, and writer in the dark girl. I want others to love me just as much as I love them, but I fear I’ll never get the love I give in return. Not just the love I had for others, but the love I had for life and myself. I just one day hope I’ll learn to approach more changes in my life with open arms because lately I’ve been struggling.

quick question, why do people always hate the woman that the man in a teenager love triangle ends up with? For instance Victoria from Corpse Bride who ends up with Victor and Amy from Little Women who ends up with Laurie. They never do anything wrong, all they do is love and care for their man and people get upset with them for it. It’s not their fault that the couple that was supposedly “perfect for each other“ didn’t work out and actually weren’t destined to be together. It’s just reality. Majority of the time someone’s first love isn’t their forever and long lasting partner and that happens. However, that doesn’t give someone the right to shame the former “ dream couple“ new spouse and real lover. I think the real issue is that some of u guys don’t know what true and long lasting compatibility and relationships are like.

the worst feeling is when you finally start discovering who you are and what you want, since you’ve been a people pleaser you’re whole life and people are disappointed with who you’ve become and they stop liking you because you’re finally doing things for yourself and embracing who you truly are.

all that matters is what is happening in your life right now and people need to be assured that it’s okay to think about the future while also living your life to the fullest in the moment.

It just goes to show that we all have our own insecurities, doubts, etc. and that we’re never actually alone but we never acknowledge that because no one announces these feelings that we’re all having out loud.
