Some human pony designs cause it looked like fun except I’ve never seen a full episode so this was just based on vibes, other interpretations I’ve seen that I thought were cool, and the very basic knowledge that I have.

I’m amused cause I drew pinkie first and it looks slightly awkward with her being the only one not standing in place.

If I see too much more of the discourse around peoples “forced representation” MLP human designs I’m gonna have to make some of my own despite never watching a full episode of the show.

It won’t kill you for people’s headcanons and designs to not all be stick thin and white and cookie cutters of each other I promise stop being weird.

Marzipan <3

I was immediately drawn to Marz I’m my first exocolonist playthrough mostly cause of her being the biggest kid and I loved that she was still considered pretty. Her whole thing with her augment kind of explaining some of why how she was how she was is so interesting to me.

(she also was kind of the worst as a child but what I adore about her is how much she can grow, also she actually likes it when you aren’t a yes man.)

I have an urge to do fun typography with exocolonist illustrations but my Adobe fonts weren’t loading on procreate and it’d probably be better just to use illustrator instead but I just kinda fave up for now.

I still stand by this. Ruffnut’s greatest asset (tuffs too) is her creativity and just being a wild card. You’ll never know if she’s lying or not ever.

The only one who’s actually good at espionage and being a spy out of the dragon riders is Ruffnut.

Heather, Hiccup and Astrid are not nearly as good at acting.

My obsession with designing characters specifically for voyage of the dawn treader is definitely because of my deep history of beef with the 2010 movie.

Anyone who knew me in middle school was in danger of ranting about that movie. (Wtf was the green mist also awkward writing in general. Visually the movie looked alright though. And will poulter killed it.)

The last time I rewatched with my sister we just sat there discussing everything we would do better. Despite not being writers. (Also the Drinian in that movie is SO opposite on how I ever pictured him.)

Also I feel like the best way to adapt that book in particular is a series.

I feel like the director of that movie really just didn’t care that much about the source material. In contrast to like Andrew adamson, those two movies are HIS Narnia in the best way. Like his version.

(Also why I actually am so excited to see Greta gerwigs take. Give this series to people with imaginations and can give us their version! The way c.s. Lewis writes invites the reader to fill in the gaps.)

I’d call this a WIP but it’s not really, mostly once we get into designing clothes in fantasy settings I feel very out of my depth, but I wanna practice more. I’m the most happy with Lucy’s but that’s also cause I most heavily referenced with hers.

Im mostly still just figuring out the clothes design for when they’re in narnia. I want brighter/more jewel toned and warmth to contrast with the more muted London clothes. And for the clothing design I want embroidery, but other than that I have no idea how I would make the designs of the narnian style in this era cohesive.

I also have vague main colours for each of them, lucy green, secondary red, edmund blue secondary brown, Susan purple secondary blue, Peter red secondary purple, and all of them use gold as well.
