Tell Robb...
Rereading A Game of Thrones and this exchange between Tyrion and Jon at the Wall just about broke my heart. Jon did command the Night's Watch but couldn't keep his brother safe 😭
“I plan to stop at Winterfell on the way south. If there is any message that you would like me to deliver...”
“Tell Robb that I’m going to command the Night’s Watch and keep him safe, so he might as well take up needlework with the girls and have Mikken melt down his sword for horseshoes.”

Snape did NOT have Dumbledore what the fuck are you on? You talking about the ass who literally forced Snape into silence after his favorite student tried to murder Snape using his own friend and Dumbledore's experiment as the weapon, and not even punish said potential murderer? The same ass who let Snape get bullied for 7 years by his favorite students? The same ass who conveniently forgot he changed because he lost his sister and condemned Snape for changing only because he lost his friend?
LOL just saw this. You are right but you don’t have to abuse me.

Is Tsunemori from Psycho Pass another anime damsel-in-distress?
While it is annoying that yet another anime picks a strong female lead and reduces her to a consort of the hot male character – one who is her subordinate - Tsunemori is anything but weak. And as opposed to most of the other animes, her strength is not fabled. Hers is a quiet strength, but she shows it when she must. She paralyses Kougami on her first day in order to save a victim – who is deemed a criminal by cold statistics. She stands up to Ginoza for belittling her and her abilities.
What really puts her strength to the test, however, is Makishima. She has him at her disposal and yet she controls her desire for revenge in order to uphold the law. Her trauma is arguably greater than Kougami’s because she SAW Makishima slitting her friend’s throat. To really rub it in, he makes her feel guilty for it for failing to shoot him. Yet she chooses the system over her own desire. And not because she is fiercely loyal to Sibyl, but because she realises that trying to overthrow it will tear the society apart. She chooses to stay and do whatever good she can in her capacity until the time is ripe to overthrow Sibyl.
She also does not give up on Kougami. While everyone else resigns to his desire for revenge, Tsunemori, until the very end, believes he could be redeemed. She even risks her life for him. In the end though she fails but does not let it break her.
Tsunemori is the opposite of the rebellious heroes we normally come across in anime. But she is a hero, all the same.
I also wrote a review of the show. Check it out here.

Chinese food is rarely appealing to me but @ginyakislamabad is a MUST. If you're looking for good food in the capital, this is one place you must visit. I ordered Dragon chicken with rice and a chilled mint drink (don't remember the exact name but it was really refreshing. As mint always is). The chicken was yummy, the sauce was as sticky as it should have been and the rice was well cooked. Service wasn't bad either. The ambiance was ok too. All in all 9/10. #foodreview #chinesefood #ginyaki #islamabaddiaries #foodie #foodbloggers #bloggers #instapost #longtimenosee #imback #farwarants (at Ginyaki) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwwDPKBhIpr/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=5x0932labxhh

Ever felt like you're constantly under surveillance? Almost as if you're on a... Trial? (see what I did there?) That's what K's life becomes. Constantly watched and judged without any reason. And I guess this is the perpetual state of mind of pretty much every individual in the post-modern world. This is why Kafka remains so relevant and important. His writings show us how absurd and damaging this world has become and how important it is for us to address this. Jbtw, the pretty stone is one I picked from Bara Pani lake in Deosai. I asked my geologist mom, she confirmed there were no diamonds to be discovered from it. At least it's pretty though right? :p The notebook is from Pioneer bookshop. One of the major mysteries of Legendary is the identity of Legend. When I started reading the book, I thought it would be the only mystery. Now that I am done reading it, I’ll say the reveal is of least importance. Not saying it is of no significance, just that there are more mysteries in the book that would impact the final show down.

Since I'm not an early bird and can't take pictures in daylight (which is ideal), I don't have any choice but to compromise and take most pictures in harsh bulbs or tube lights and hate them forever. In the last few days, however, as I've been experimenting more with different angles and lighting, I find that lamp lights can be pretty cool. The issues I had with shadows are resolved and it gives a mysterious look to the picture too. What do you think? And what kind of lighting do you prefer while taking pictures? Props: handwritten note from my journal, cane lamp, book mark from @absolutelybooked, candles from a mehndi goodies store, synthetic flowers my mother loves, bracelet a present from my cousin, and Murakami's Kafka on the Shore #nowreading * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * #bookstagramfeature #bookstagrammer #insta #instaposts #instablogger #blogger #lifestyles #lifestyleblogger #lamp #lampandlight #tuesday #tuesdaynight #worktomorrow #journal #journalentries #flatlaystyle #flatlays #bookishlove #kafkaontheshore #murakami #japanese

I get that he got the feeling of belonging but you really cannot absolve him of all responsibility. He had Dumbledore, he had Lily.
Tumblr media
People who use the argument ‘But Snape joined the Death Eaters.’ I have to just roll my eyes. You have no idea how terrorist organisations or cults work, don’t you? It might surprise you why most terrorists are terrorists. They first start with accepting you in their cult as a welcoming feeling, then they’ll downplay a group of people, after that they will tell you if you continue working with then they’ll finance you and the people you care about, probably involved his mom. Terror organisations don’t work like ‘mmm I’ll join this group, must be wonderful’ no they are manipulative and vindictive. If you use the argument ‘But Snape joined the Death Eater’ then you’ve no idea of how these groups work.

Snape was an asshole, I really don't get how anyone can call him a hero. What he did for Harry the Order was helpful obviously, but he would never have done it if it were the Longbottoms that were killed. In fact, he wouldn't have cared if Voldy had agreed to let Lily go. And even when he was protecting Harry, he was still horrible to him as well other kids that he was friends with for no reason other than pure hatred. He knew how Harry was treated at the Dursleys' house and yet he chose to make him miserable. He is an interesting character but a horrible person.
Tumblr media
It irritates me when people say that Lily was a bad friend to Snape. Need I remind people that this girl remained friends with him while he became friends with people who despised her kind tremendously. She defended him against her own friends, even the friends of her that were Muggleborn as well. She upheld for him for as long as she could. And then the bastard called her a Mudblood and she made the very right decision not to associate herself with him anymore. Lily was the victim in this situation, not Snape, and I don’t see why people are so angry with her. It’s just like if a black person was friends with a racist white persson, and after years of trying to help said person, is repayed for their kindness by being called the n-word and ended the friendship because of it. Lily was an extremely kind person and she did the right thing by cutting ties with him.
