A canvas has the potential to produce a great piece of art but it also depends on the artist who draws and paints on the canvas. If you give the canvas into the hands of an inexperienced artist, it is more likely to get ruined or to produce an art that’s lower than the standard of the canvas. Although, giving it into the hands of a chief artist will make the empty canvas to be filled with an exclusive art and with bright colours. Analogically speaking, every person has great potential in them like an empty canvas to produce an exclusive painting, but it all depends upon the artist we entrust our lives to. Jesus said, “my purpose is to give you a rich and satisfied life.” He is the chief artist that can work magic with the our empty canvas. Going out of the model, and getting out of the comfort zone can all look like a problem at first. When Jesus told his disciples about his suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection it seemed like a problem to Peter. Hence why he was quick to reprimand Jesus. But the reply of Jesus to Peter was to “get out of my, Satan. You have no idea how God works.” Like Peter our response to a problem can be the quite discomposed. It isn’t always the best of choices to getaway from what God has asked you to do. Nevertheless, God who is merciful creates gateways in the middle of our getaways so that when you look back, there won’t be no room for regrets or guilt. When God asked Jonah go to a place that he didn’t like, he was just like us. He didn’t go, instead he went his own way. However, it’s amazing to see different gateways that God opened during his journey. First, the travellers in the ship came to know about the God of Jonah. Second, Jonah become an example that Jesus would use ages after when he spoke of his death and resurrection. In the same way, God opens portals in the middle of our mistakes. Am I trying to encourage you to make wrong choices? Not at all! I wanted to tell you that it’s ok if you’ve messed up. But it’s key to know that God can bring a message out of it. Not a lot of people would like to talk about their weak spots. A weak spot could be anything that makes you feel inadequate, imperfect; impotent. Therefore, we always try to conceal our weaknesses in secret store rooms of our heart. When Paul the apostle had a weakness, three different times he pleaded with the Lord to take it way. However, each time the reply he got was “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” Similarly, what we also need is His grace and our weak spots are it’s access points. Your obedience orchestrates your miracles. Fishes didn’t just magically appear in Peter’s boat. Instead, it occurred when he obeyed what Jesus commanded him to do. Commands of God can be a bit strange, when he says to love you enemies and pray for those who persecute you. When He says not to pass judgment on some one who judges you, and so on. Nevertheless, breakthroughs are all tied up to all these commands. Not only that, Peter was able to see a miracle in the place where he witnessed frustration in his fishing skills. God can do the same in our lives, if we are ready to move by His commands. He can make beauty rise out of ashes, he can turn our areas of misery into miracles. Don’t waste your time fighting battles that Christ has already won victory upon. He has nailed everything you’re battling on the cross. The enemy wants us to believe the lies he echoes in our ears. There’s no more hope, there is no way out of this mess, you’re life has been ruined. Your marriage can’t work out, your career can’t progress, your dreams are never gone come alive. All these are false statement that wants to take control over you. Nevertheless, the Bible teaches us that, there is hope and future. There are better days ahead of you. Your latter days will be greater than your former days. To become more than conquerors, to become an overcomer all we have to do is depend on Christ, cling on Him. Snow was formed in the clouds before it fell into the ground. What we see is a product that was manufactured earlier but manifested when enough crystals got together. When the Bible says, “He foreknew, He chose us in advance.” It means that God knew you before you were born into the world. In fact you took birth in the heart of God before your parents even met. God has great plans over your life, plans to prosper, plans to give you hope and future. Many people blame there background and others for there failures. If I was born into a different family then I would have been more successful. If I had a better childhood, then my character would have been better. You can go on with the blame game forever. However, you can turn your future around by believing that God placed me in the right place, what has happened in my life is not unknown to Him, and I have a purpose and calling over my life. Challenges ahead will seem like a giant that may terrify and frighten you. Those hurdles will speak words of fear and doubt over your life, telling you that you’re weak, unqualified, unequipped, and incapable. In the scripture we can see similar situation, when a Philistine giant challenged God’s people to have a one to one heavyweight fight with him. Everyone in the Israel camp was afraid and trembled. During one of those day a shepherd boy came over to the army camp bringing lunch for his brothers. When he heard of this matter, he said he will step in to ring to face the giant. Even though he was a boy, who had no military training, no battle experience, who looked like an ant compared to the size of the giant. Nevertheless, he had faith in God. He knew that the battle belongs to the Lord and he can use anyone who steps into the ring by faith. Moving on, that boy defeated the giant with a slingshot. In the same way when challenges arise don’t be afraid, don’t look down on yourself. Instead, put your trust in God, believe that He’ll reveal His glory through you.
