scribbles no. 1
She almost fell but luckily when Lillian's boot lost its grip and betrayed her balance, Arlow's hand was right there to catch her. She stumbles herself back upright, wiping dust residue off her garb.
"Thanks." Lillian grumbled.
Arlow only gave a curt nod and continued up the mountainside. If Lillian had known this trip was going to cause her to almost die now twice maybe she would've stayed home. A winged creature, visually similar to a large scaled vulture but sounded like a child screeching from Hell itself, was circling not too far off from where the duo were standing. Arlow stopped to watch it for a moment before glancing back at Lillian and pushing forward again.
"We should pick up our pace, those things hunt in packs."
Lillian trips over a root, trying to keep up.
"But there's only one?"
Arlow stops suddenly, whipping around and causing Lillian to almost crash into him.
"It's a scout. He's probably already decided you'd taste great and sent word," He chuckles at his own joke. "We're almost there though don't worry."
Lillian huffs in annoyance and the two begin climbing the mountain once again, furthermore above the city that sits down below.

hi! i'm kt (pronounced like katie lol), starting up a new blog after being inactive for a few years. so i'll probably drag some old stuff back from the grave soon >:]
i picked this up once again so i could start holding my writing (and art potentially) accountable once again.
community sharing personally pushes my work to limits i cannot do by myself sooo definitely stoked to see the current scape of writers & creatives alike. so please interact! tag me, annoy me! i love any and all projects! esp queer ones!
my interests vary significantly but i love: elder scrolls, natural sciences, tech esp anything retro, game dev, httyd!!!, anti-consumerism lifestyles aka thrifting everything possible, bugz, ren faires, and lotr
i pretty much only write in the fantasy genre but occasionally i dabble in poetry. i aim for a new adult to adult demographic.
my current major three wips are going under reconstruction & will be intro'd shortly! they are as follows;
an account of a raven's dog (working title): adult grimdark fantasy involving political intrigue, lycanthrope reimagining, & found families in a queer normative world.
the serpent's maw (also working title): post-apocalyptic dead magic world, prince & bodyguard trope galore, cowboy gangs full of sapphics & rogue dead gods eating trains.
harrowing: whimsy, edwardian fantasy involving the undead reanimating on a woman's newly inherited manor in the countryside and how her ghastly looking countess neighbor helps her uncover why.
i got a few more in the trunk, but for now those are my primary focus.
ta-ta for now!!
