A little lighting tutorial for you my lovelies

the color of the highlight comes from the color of the light source,

the color of the ambient occlusion comes from the color of the object itself but darker,

the color of the cast shadow come from the color of the background but darker,

the color of the ambient light comes from the color of the nearest object,

the color of the subsurface scattering comes from the object itself but much more vivid

Loving how in the mt yujun arc Hua Cheng is like: "omg its my god my literal god and we're getting married whehehehe aaaAAAAAAITSREALLYHAPPENINGGGG"

Meanwhile Xie Lian is like "wow this ghost groom that's supposedly eating people sure is polite about it"

And then on the ox cart Hua Cheng is like "B) okokokokok keep ur cool PLS act cool B)" and then proceeds to succeed and be incredibly cool AND manages to get Xie Lian pity him + invite him to stay over. Happiest ghost calamity fanboy ever.
