Asthma Can Kick Rocks
I had a personal training session and it was going good...except I FORGOT MY FUCKING INHALER. After the warm-up, I was already really short of breath. By the end of the 2nd workout cycle, I had to put my head between my knees and by the end of the 3rd, I had to go outside for fresh air and then I left early. I’m hella hella salty about this because I wasted gas, time and a workout all because of fucking inflamed bronchi. If I had one wish it would literally be to not have asthma.Â

Don’t Prioritize A Boy Over Fitness
So for starters, I was trying to think of a catchy title like “chicks before dicks” but using fitness or workout or something but I’m drawing a blank. Anyway, I cut my workout short to hang out with a boy and he is flaking. I only did 30 min cardio and sat in the sauna for 10 min when normally I do that plus walking a mile on the treadmill and about 20 min of weights. Not necessarily the best workout but its better than just 30 min of cardio. Basically get your workout in and don’t shorten anything for a fuckboy because now I just have to go to the gym in the morning to make up for it.Â

Detoxing
I, like most people in the world, suffer from bloating occasionally. Well before I started eating healthier and working out consistently I felt bloated pretty much all the time. From eating more veggies, and drinking fresh pressed juices and kombucha my digestive track isn’t the train wreck it was before. This is great but it also means if I eat unhealthily I can actually tell the difference. On Saturday I had a whole large pizza so obviously, my stomach was unhappy with me. I have done various detoxes in the past. Flat Tummy Tea was a good one that definitely worked, but I struggled with keeping up with the schedule. There was an Acai one that was absolutely disgusting. Enter Simply Slender Master Cleanse. Their original lemonade diet is only 48 hours so that’s a lot easier than 2 or 4 weeks. It is the best tasting detox that I have ever had. AND IT WORKS! My bloat is waaaayyy down and I wasn’t locked in my bathroom. That is always the struggle of detoxes since I’m a busy person and I just don’t have time for that. It is definitely a detox that I will be keeping in my rotation.Â

Here We Go
So I have been struggling with my weight in both healthy and unhealthy ways my whole life. I have done various crash diets and worked out at various intensities basically since middle school. Since moving home and getting a stable job I have been going to the gym more consistently and today I just signed up with a personal trainer that includes meal planning. When I first started going to the gym (again) I was at my absolute biggest and decided to finally make a change. As of today, I am down 14lbs and HELLA PROUD. Basically, my goal for this blog is to keep track of my fitness progress going forward and hopefully find mutual support and encouragement. So welcome to Fit Journey 18.0 because who knows what attempt this is.
