Loneliness without Childhood

i miss the joy and wonders life used to bring.

life when every color was bright and lively.

life when we had not a care in the world.

a world where nothing merely existed past childhood.

the daydreams of the wonders we would see as teens.

where did that go?

where was the loss of hope throughout life?

simply, it was when our once lively childhoods ended.

turning into grey pits of despair and emptiness.

the overwhelming feeling of who likes who.

who’s better than who.

who has this and who has that.

when did all the joyous laughter come to an end?

life where we dreamed of the stars, reaching out, hoping that someday we could gracefully touch them.

to claim one as our own.

to wish on one for something better than what this miserable life is.

what life has become.

what life has always been.

the mask began to fade, the colors dulled, the truth was revealed.

the agonizing pain of life.

the hells of this world.

Yearning For The One Out of Reach

why do we always yearn for the ones that don’t want us?

the ones that yearn for anyone else but ourselves.

the ones that cannot see the beauty in us, but can in others.

why do we always yearn for the ones that simply aren’t able to understand our true feelings?

words mistaken for kindness rather than blissful poems.

poems filled with love, kindness, affection.

poems that fill your heart with immense amounts of joy after reading the heartfelt message.

why must we yearn for those that are unable to reciprocate those feelings?

why must they not understand our true intentions and affections.

we yearn for love, but why can’t we get that love we give back?

always giving, but never answered with it in return.

never able to feel the love we give to others, no love to blanket around us at all.

why must we yearn at all?

wouldn’t it be better to loose feelings entirely than to live your life in grief and heartbreak.

to live your life in immense pain and fear of rejection, all simply because you want to feel this in return.

but atlas, you’ll never feel this love in return, as the giver must always be the one to give and never to take.
