05/08/25: Road trip time! Made it home late last night, and today I'm posting my finds! Hit up some walmarts, gamestops, and two over-priced Goodwills. I began close to home, but then drove out to riverside county. I started in Coachella and almost made it to Palm Springs. But it was getting late and it's almost an hour and 1/2 to get home. At three gamestops I did their 4 for $40 deal and got games I wouldn't have found locally. I got a bunch of Sony games and I grabbed a few 3ds games still in their boxes. I went to five different walmarts looking for their recent clearance markdowns. But other people got to them first. I did find some $5, $10, $15 and $20 games, though. And some games in the wrong spot where the store had to honor it. And a game that unclearanced itself for being too old. Also, an anime on clearance that's still more expensive online. A Daredevil book based on one of my favorite storylines. And an Optimus prime model figure. Two stupidity expensive goodwills in La Quinta and Rancho Mirage had dvds at $4-5 each. They must like overselling to rich folk. But I fell for their prices too. Some books that were pricey. But I like folk tales and mythology. So I paid a bit too much. Oh and a book on Wrestler Mick Foley was nice. But pricey. And a bit more to my liking was that manga for fifty cents at another reasonable thrift store. The trip was fun!

05/07/25: My Wednesday fleamarket finds. I had to pay extra coin today for some games, and I'm a bit uncomfortable. But that's what collecting does to you sometimes. Once again, my usual sellers didn't show up today. And it was off to a less than Stellar start. A fellow there who has a huge stall with a ton of variety and knows his stuff had some tech and electronics. I spotted two nice games in a stack of mostly ps2 sports games. I asked how much for both? He replied $25 for both. Damn! I left them behind at first and kept looking for other deals. But I was left pondering. Metropolismania has no manual, but the disc was fine. But the other game had my interests. So I checked Google and price charting, and that Armored Core 2 game averaged around $20-25 anyways. Plus, it's complete and clean. And my own copy is disc only. So I had to defy my cheapass-ness and go back to get it. So with that out of the way, I looked at other places. For $4.00, I found a ps3 game and a dvd. And another person sold me Six dvds for $8.00. I especially liked Patrick Stewart, a Christmas Carol dvd. Then I found a ps3 USB block charger for $3.00 and lastly a little plush toy Goomba also for $3.00.

05/06/25: Tuesday thrift store finds! Finally, I got a nice set of things from Salvation Army Store. Someone donated a bunch of Spanish LP records. I noticed these were songs and genres that my mom would like. I had to call my mom and tell her the titles of them to see if she wanted them. She chose a few she recognized, and I got a few that I think I can sell later in my yard sales. Also lots of dvds were donated too. I went through them and chose some that I don't think I have. I got sixteen LP records for $25. And Eleven dvds for $14. Not too bad. Then, from Goodwill, it was a single dvd for $2.99. I almost missed it. But when I saw Criterion collection on the spine, I had to get it. Fritz Lang M. I know nothing about this movie, but being a Criterion film, it must have some pedigree. And I'll add it to the Criterion movies I already own. And lastly, at the last thrift store for a dollar, it was a kids comic book called Upside Down A vampire Tale for a dollar.

04/29/25: The thrifting never stops! Here's this mornings finds. No movies or games there, but at the Toy section in Goodwill, I found two blue shell plush pillows for $5.99 each. The other thrift store got me a graphic novel and a ps4 game. Crash Bandicoot Trilogy for $5.49? Why, yes! And the book was $2.00.

04/28/25: Another online anime order received! Didn't check my mail until this morning, but it probably arrived on Saturday. For some years now, when I get my tax return; I order some anime. I got some in the other day too, and this completes my binge. These came from a company called Gruv. I also spent around $60 for everything. And I'm double dipping on GitS Stand Alone Complex. I have it on dvd already. But it's time for an upgrade. And the other series look nice too. I saw a few first season episodes of Castlevania a few years back, but now I got it more complete. And I'm a fan of Inuyasha. The last season in a dvd set is okay. I'll get it on bluray one day. I hope you have a great start to your week.

04/25/25: New media for me to start the weekend! Yesterday after work, I went to gamestop. I had my $5 bonus to spend. And among their used ps5 games, I saw a game that a few other PS collectors talked about a while back. Indika. The cover looks cool and a bit creepy. So it had to be mine! And today I went thrift store shopping. At Goodwill, I found a dvd of Studio Ghibli The wind Rises for $3.00. And at another thrift store, I found two more dvds and a manga for $5.00. Another Looney Tunes dvd and an Asian martial arts movie that piqued my curiosity. And coming home to check my mailbox, I found one of my online orders arrived. I checked Sentai Filmworks website for any deals and some of their anime seemed cheap enough. Complete series of Parasyte, Gate, and Ushio & Tora averaged out to less than $20 each. 04/23/25:One more title to my limited run games collection! I've been on the fence for months now on downloading this game on switch. And when said company said they were making it physical, I had to order it. And it arrived last night. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm a sucker for metroidvanias. I'm also expecting another game from this company too. But I think I'll have to wait longer for it. I gave Halberd Studios money from a Kickstarter campaign last year on another new IP they're making. It's called Mariachi Legends. And if it looks just as good as this one. I'll be a happy collector and gamer. And to put the awesome cherry on top, the studio behind this game are Mexicans! I fully support their endeavors and will buy more of their games in the future.

04/23/25: Wednesday fleamarket day! Breakdown time. Everything in the first pic is from one seller. I paid $28 for the lot. It has some late 90s, early 00s action figures. One is a Bandai toy from Final Fantasy Spirits Within movie. The other is from Playmates, the baddie from Wildcats comics/cartoon.] And the other is technically a Todd McFarlane toy back when it was Todd Toys from image comics Young Blood. There's an Asterix comic and a TPB of the Avengers. A Terminator ps2 game and other movies that seemed weird or different to me. The next pic has nine movies for $10. Some Friday the 13th sequels still sealed and other horror films. And some generic JCVD movies that I don't have high expectations for. I then found some cheap dollar stuff to end the Hunt. A wii U mini stand and Beyblade on ps1. I'm happy.

04/22/25: It's been slim pickings at my local thrift stores lately. They have okay stuff, but I already have it or it's just not for me. There's three big ones in town, but the last one is the one that got me this. I paid $10 for this. Which isn't a big bargain, but I like to buy odd and/or different. I already have the first season of the Following, so another one is fine. The other two look like decent action flicks. And I'm not sure if I'm in Dogman's Target age demographic, but I like comics anyways. Hurrah for stuff!
