04/28/25: Another online anime order received! Didn't check my mail until this morning, but it probably arrived on Saturday. For some years now, when I get my tax return; I order some anime. I got some in the other day too, and this completes my binge. These came from a company called Gruv. I also spent around $60 for everything. And I'm double dipping on GitS Stand Alone Complex. I have it on dvd already. But it's time for an upgrade. And the other series look nice too. I saw a few first season episodes of Castlevania a few years back, but now I got it more complete. And I'm a fan of Inuyasha. The last season in a dvd set is okay. I'll get it on bluray one day. I hope you have a great start to your week.

Blurays/dvds, my beloved. They look good on a shelf and I own this movie/TV show now. Never have to worry about if it's on a streaming service or if it will be taken off. Just put it in a bluray player and bam! And special features, something so rare on streaming

Soul of the Dragon Blu-ray, I had to get it considering the current Batgirl arc is basically doing a similar plot.

Reign of the Supermen and Man of Steel Blu-rays, I got them because I'm doing a marathon of a bunch of Superman movies before the new movie comes out. 😅

And finally Psycho-Pass seasons 1 and 2 on Blu-ray, it was one of the first animes I ever watched and really got me into the cyberpunk genre as a whole, so I had to get it.

Sometimes I leave this site to see what is out there, the only other social media I am on is YouTube and occasionally I will stumble upon a piece of twilight related content there.

Now when I am out in the wild like that I try to be as chill and normal about twilight as possible and one thing that always baffles me about finding twilight content out there is how little mention of the Quileute tribe there is.

Be it reading vlogs of the books, movie commentaries, memorabilia collections etc. unless it's like an in depth video essay on why twilight is problematic barely anyone takes care to mention the tribe, acknowledge the harm twilight has done to them or remind viewers that there are opportunities to donate. It baffles me.

I don't know how much of a bubble thing this is, but if I go on tumblr all the twilight blogs I follow will regularly mention the Quileutes, they will reblog donation links and own voices accounts of the damage twilight has done to the community. I regularly see posts breaking down reproduced stereotypes of Native Americans in twilight and so on.

That is what being a fan of twilight should entail in my opinion and when I spend a lot of time in this small corner of the internet it makes me feel like this fandom has grown quite a lot. It's sometimes feels defeating going out there and seeing videos with tens of thousands of views that never utilize that platform to help support a community that is in large parts responsible for the success of twilight in the first place.

I don't know where I am going with this. Donate to the Quileute tribe and don't encourage people to give money to Stephenie Meyer anymore.

Someone a long time ago asked to see my collection, and I told them that it consisted of piles here and there. I finally got rid of some unrelated stuff and was able to put everything in two locations.

As you can see, I tend to keep most of the protective packaging for some reason.

There's still... a little room for more, right hah?

04/25/25: New media for me to start the weekend! Yesterday after work, I went to gamestop. I had my $5 bonus to spend. And among their used ps5 games, I saw a game that a few other PS collectors talked about a while back. Indika. The cover looks cool and a bit creepy. So it had to be mine! And today I went thrift store shopping. At Goodwill, I found a dvd of Studio Ghibli The wind Rises for $3.00. And at another thrift store, I found two more dvds and a manga for $5.00. Another Looney Tunes dvd and an Asian martial arts movie that piqued my curiosity. And coming home to check my mailbox, I found one of my online orders arrived. I checked Sentai Filmworks website for any deals and some of their anime seemed cheap enough. Complete series of Parasyte, Gate, and Ushio & Tora averaged out to less than $20 each. I hope you have a great weekend and discover all the things you want and need.

i love collecting physical media because yes of course i have at least two copies of every saw movie on dvd/bluray. yes i have four separate copies of house of wax 2005 and sleepy hollow 1999. yes i have two copies of the first seasons of breaking bad and community. yes there’s several other movies i have multiple copies of for various unimportant reasons. i love it here!!
