On the one hand it would be fun to see an American puzzle keeper, but on the other I would love for Puzzlette to come back since she only got to work in one game, while Granny R and Keats had multiple.
On that note, Beasly had it even worse than she did, so I really hope we get both of them as some kind of slapstick comedy duo, with both of them arguing over who is the real puzzle keeper.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all though if things went in a new direction, with someone who has figured out how to track puzzles through a technological device instead of whatever the traditional method is.
Nwos poll: Who is going to be the puzzle keeper in Nwos?
Nwos might be getting the return of having a puzzle keeper like in prior games. I don't think Granny Riddleton would be the puzzle keeper as she was officially retired in Unwound/Lost Future, so it may be Puzzlette taking over or someone new.

reblogs are very appreciated, but not required, of course :^)
(also, i would be extremely grateful if anyone submitted/suggested a poll, but don't feel pressured to do so!)

Oh nooo 😣 I also thought it was strange, but I was hanging on to hope. I appreciate seeing this though as I wasn’t aware of it. Ahh, I know it’ll be worth it, but NWoS has been such a series of long waits and pushbacks…!
(Oh yeah, I was watching the Indie World showcase yesterday, and for their very last announcement, they did this tagline with a big emphasis on the word STEAM…even though I knew logically NWoS didn’t belong in an indie showcase, I still got all excited and wondering for a second….it wasn’t ofc 🫠)
Y'all it got postponed 🥺 gotta wait till summer
I thought it was strange that we hadn't heard anything about the event scheduled for April and it's already mid to late April 😔

Appreciation post for everyone explaining a joke in comments and posts when someone doesn't get it, for people willing to explain pop culture references that fly over someone's head, for people answering genuine questions about some issue someone has trouble understanding, for people who take enquiries about "common sensical" stuff in good faith, I love you <3

when i say i wish people started using the reblog button more i don't mean it in a 'i want more notes' kind of way i mean it in a 'i want to read about your thoughts on this particular thing' and 'i want to have conversations in the tags' and 'i want this to feel like a community again and not like any of those boring social media platforms where artists are content creators and interactions never goes beyond a like'

Several takeaways from this golden moment:
Emmy knows Luke well enough to have basically hit on the truth right away
Luke isn’t offended by her suggestion that he would sneak treats in the cellar but only that she thought he would do it for a fruit tart
Maybe I’m just looking too deeply into this random funny exchange, but could there actually be some subtle foreshadowing here?? I could be wrong, but somehow I don’t really picture Clark banning Luke from the cellar for doing this, unless it was a repeated offense (and I don’t see that either). Considering it seems to be a recent rule, did ‘Doland’ take advantage of the situation and get Clark to keep Luke from discovering the cellar’s secret? 👀 (or it’s a case of Clark reasoning that it’s safer if Luke doesn’t know.)

Des totally does nice things that aren’t necessary to his plans and justifies it to himself as “part of his Sycamore disguise”
*calls Layton’s parents to see him off, stocks his favorite tea for the journey, goes out of his way to be kind and encouraging to everyone* “HA! Now those fools will never guess that I’m Jean Descole who would never do any of those STUPID things, I’m such an evil genius haha”

Hi!!! How about 5, 8, 21, and 25 for the second ask game?
Hi Angel! :-D Thanks for asking!
5–There are several, but I’ll give a shout-out to Luke’s Big Dinner from DB. I like the incorporation of dialogue and the illustration of Layton and Luke enjoying their meal. Another thing I remember is that when I first solved it, though I did double-check before submitting, I made an initial guess about who ordered what items based solely on what I thought they would like, and ended up being correct! XD
8–Ahh…I think I’ll say Misthallery! It really feels like a little storybook town, with all of its mist and quaint architecture. Some of my favorite parts of it are the forest area with the waterwheel, the little hideaway with Granny Riddleton’s cottage, the lakeside with its fog and wildflowers, and the area in front of Paddy’s Place with the wishing well and the big arch.
21–I picked the professor for his tea knowledge/appreciation, and because he would likely give me a puzzle, hehe! I also like Earl Grey just like he does.
25–Am I?? I’m so excited for NWoS that I check for news pretty much every day, haha! I’m still so grateful that’s it’s actually happening after so many years of having little hope left for it.
