things i don't enjoy about being a system.
first and foremost. being in a nearly constant dissociative state that ranges from "i can function but i'm not really here and life doesn't feel really real" to "i am essentially unaware of everything going on right now"
and secondly. having to deal with someone who is essentially a younger sibling, except far far more troublesome. for example, several months ago, they were fronting. and they thought it would be a fine idea to tell our real-life little brother about the book i was reading. note that they were not explicitly included in this activity, because these books are something i like to read alone. they simply spy while i read them. i cannot prevent this, for obvious reasons.
these books contain explicit scenes. and while they did not say anything to this little brother of ours about *that*, they did tell him about how the main character canonically has a fat ass.
and of course he looked it up and saw a picture someone took of the part of the book where the author was describing his fat ass, which was during an explicit scene. as well as fanart of said fat ass.
so. that was fun.

One time my rabbi told us, “imagine you had a box with a little bit of god in it. What would you do with the box?”
So we were like ?? “We’d protect it and keep it nice and clean and polished” and he was like “your body’s that box. Stop eating markers”

reasons we are pro endo.
the first, and most important, is that i genuinely do not care what goes on in your head. system developed without trauma? ok. system developed with trauma? ok. system created on purpose? ok. more than one of these? ok. something more complicated? ok. i support you.
other reasons include that anti endo stuff seems to be very intertwined with fakeclaiming. i suppose not all of them do this, as there seems to be more than one way to be anti endo, but one way i see a lot is the very simple statement “endos actually don’t exist and all of them are faking”. of course, there are the other varieties, such as “endos are just traumatised and don’t know it” and “endos are delusional” (genuinely fuck off if you tell anyone that they’re delusional as an insult). probably some others that i’m missing. i also see these same people saying that they’re anti fakeclaiming, or having fakeclaimers in their dni. do they know? did they simply never think about what they are doing?
i don’t like fakeclaiming. i have trauma surrounding similar things to it. if someone fakeclaims me, i can shrug it off (mostly. there are some things that will trigger me.) but if someone fakeclaims someone else, that almost always triggers me. i cannot stand someone being fakeclaimed. there is an intrinsic pain in being told that you are lying, that your pain is not real, that what has been happening to you is just a lie and the product of a child’s overactive imagination, and i hate the idea of that happening to someone else, because *nobody deserves it*. it hurts to see that people hurt other people.
and telling people that they are traumatised will not do anything good. firstly, one is assuming that they haven’t already tried searching for their trauma. what if they have, and can either confirm that they do not have any, or that it is not intertwined with their systemhood? or what if they haven’t, and one’s pushing makes them unearth trauma that they were not ready for? this can cause actual harm. it has real consequences.
and telling people that they are delusional is a shitty move. firstly, having delusions is not something one can throw around to insult people with. it is a genuine condition and if someone is actually delusional, reality checking can cause them harm. and saying that someone is delusional just seems to be a roundabout way of telling someone that they’re faking. i actually do hate people who tell other people that they’re delusional. delusional people do not exist as a way for one to be an arse to other people. they are people who have a condition. delusions are not automatically evil, despite the fact that they have been demonised.
and endos do not exist to harm people, despite the beliefs of some. plurality/systemhood is not an exclusive club that only people with severe trauma can access. even though i could access this hypothetical club, i don’t want to be in it if it automatically excludes people. plenty of endos still have trauma even if it does not intertwine with their systemhood. this is to say nothing of mixed origin systems, who are always excluded from this discussion. if they are not purely born of trauma, then would they be prevented from accessing spaces for trauma survivors who are systems? i do think there should be spaces for trauma survivors, but saying that they need to be endo free is a bit assholish to those who are mixed origin systems.
those are my main reasons, among others.
-rant from a traumagenic system who is so tired of having to read about others being fakeclaimed.

i do not like the idea of my existence simply revolving around trauma. and yet i was born of it. why was i born of it? i hate the idea that i came into existence because of pain. i don’t like the fact that we, this system, were born of trauma. i don’t want my existence to just be that. i can’t have it just be that.

I think people have greatly watered down autism into this silly label or identity that they can collect.
I’ve seen multiple posts that defend that autism should be an identity, similar to how sexualities and gender labels are. I think they’re missing multiple things with this analogy. First, you cannot help your queerness. It’s not simply a “label” it’s your whole being. It’s who you are.
I want people to realize that autism is a serious disorder for over half of people diagnosed with autism. From more then 30% being higher support needs, to more than that having different comorbidities, it’s a serious disorder. Not only can it affect every aspect of your life, it can severely affect how your health is, how independent you are, etc.
To a lot of people autism isn’t “a silly label” it’s a disorder. A disorder that comes with comorbities, that affects how they speak or don’t speak, how they view the world, how the process or dont process things, etc.
Higher support needs people need to be recognized, and in turn you have to recognize the disorders that they have. You can’t ignore them. You can’t simply shrug it off as a silly little label or identity.
People deserve to have their life altering disorders taken seriously and not turned into something that’s shrugged off and seen as another add in the newspaper. Autism is serious. It’s a neurodevelopmental disorder. Say what it is. Don’t water it down.
That’s all.

Anti endos will always bash our experiences
You do not know what is going on in OUR head, we are simply labeling our experiences the best way we know how
I have headmates, I have voices and people in my head
And that's valid. Stop making my experiences look like nothing
I'm not saying that being a system is always fun or "quirky" because it isnt
You never know who you are and you never feel in control and/or in reality
My experiences are valid. Stop telling endos to fuck off or even off themselves
That is honestly going against everything you stand for
If you have boundaries that's fine but do NOT act like we are below you
Okay rant over :) - Ven 💜

❗CRIPPLE TIPS❗
✨ Able bodied friends edition ✨
If you are in a group that includes anybody who is using a mobility aid, if you are out and about and a Stairs Situation arises, either ask them which they'd prefer, or opt for the elevator (given your group is small enough. If not, have a couple friends use the elevator with your disabled friend, after asking if this is what they prefer (they may enjoy a moment alone, everybody is an individual with their own preferences). This means they don't lose the emotional "high" of being part of a group, conversation can continue so they won't suddenly feel lonely and excluded on the solo elevator ride, which can creep in and ruin their mood especially if they're new to their disability, and there's less of a chance of confusion once you're at your destination. Nobody likes being lost, but the inherent exhaustion and physical exertion that comes with using and mobility aid is incredibly... Unfun. And distressing! This can be easily avoided and you have the chance to be an Excellent friend! We notice these things!
This post is about being Physically Disabled, Able bodied people are encouraged to reblog, but Do Not Derail-- make your own post if you need to say something not related to being physically disabled.

Remember y’all, Median Systems are valid. When people say all systems are valid, they’re usually talking about endogenic systems. While yes, that’s true of course, I don’t know where to place Median Systems at along the spectrum. We’re not plural per se nor endogenic. We’re stuck in the middle. Our parts or facets are us and we’re them. We’re a breed of our own. I wish there would be more info out there about us. Endogenics please don’t forget your cousins so to speak hehe. 😄😅
