2015 Fortuna Phials Snapshot

Fortuna Phials has been open for a year now but it did have a long rest this Autumn. It's been really exciting having the shop and I do really enjoy the Etsy shop experience. I just sort of dove in last January and I can say now after a year I hope I always have a little shop open. It is the best place for me to really to anything creative. It is a ton of work - even more work than I imagined but it is so rewarding. Every patron I have spoken with has been so kind and understanding about the vision I have for Fortuna Phials.

New lines for 2015

I am adding a new line of Tea necklaces to the shop in early 2015! They will be capsule style necklaces that are filled with tea and have either bronze tea cups or cute ceramic cups or teapots attached! These are adorable and I love the way they look each time. I think that people who are tea freaks like myself would love to wear something like this. I am also planning on doing a few seasonal and holiday style necklaces. These will be limited edition creations that encapsulate the seasons like Spring flowers or Autumn leaves or holidays like lovely Valentines Day or spooky Halloween! These ones will be so fun and full of whimsy to create. I also have a few other ideas I'd like to test out this year in small batches like metal hand stamping, initial necklaces and a mythology based necklace line.

International Shipping

I have been going back and forth on this one for a while. I have sent out 5 orders via international mail and 2 orders never made it to their patrons. I feel this is a terrible ratio. I don't feel like I was shipping to crazy places - the UK and Luxembourg - and each time I send internationally I verify with the Post Office that I filled everything out correctly to help ensure delivery. I also supply the custom code for them to check on, but even doing these steps I have had almost half of my international orders not reach people. This is very discouraging and makes me feel like I may take off international shipping if this trend continues in 2015.

This is what I added to my modern medicine regime to be conscious of my anxiety level. It comes on "gradually, then suddenly."  This capsule phial is strung on an 18 inch hypoallergenic silver chain. The antiqued silver glass phial is filled with jasmine for harmony and self love, valerian for calming waaaaaaaay down as well as lavender also called Heartsease for promoting relaxation. The drop is amethyst - the stone of inner peace and serenity. The Tibetan Silver charm is a rabbit and the moon. Rabbits have been a symbol of trusting your gut while the moon promotes deep peace. Includes an 18" hypoallergenic alloy chain with lobster clasp in matching metal finish

Capsule Pendants measures approximately 1.5" by .5" including a stone drop and is made of hypoallergenic alloy. If it has a bail then it will be a little larger 2.5" by .5" including a stone drop.

For wearability and safety reasons all capsule style necklaces have stones blocking the top and bottom of the bottle to keep the herbs from spilling out. The capsule style necklaces will have a little fall out which is completely normal.

Pendant is filled with organic ingredients from sustainable sources

Each necklace is handcrafted by me, and will vary slightly from the picture shown. Please note that this pendant is water-resistant, but not waterproof, meaning it should not be submerged in water. Please do not swim or shower with this. 

Gifting This necklace comes in a professional kraft box with my shop logo affixed, wrapped in tissue paper and tied with baker's twine. I also include a note that explains all of the symbolism of each part of the necklace in case you are gifting this to someone else. If you would like me to include a note please leave me a note at checkout with the inscription you would like to include, along with the address of the recipient.

Surround a white candle with it and sprinkle a little in the wax once it's melted to help you focus on one of the above intentions.

Use it in an incense mix and send out that courage to the world!

My favorite way to use it is when I tape up an affirmation for courage I sprinkle a little on the tape I use to stick it on my bathroom mirror. Easy, intentional and a magical. Here are some courage affirmations to get you started:
