I know everyone thinks that Brennan's/Raphaniel's secret in D20 is that he killed the king but my immediate first thought at the way Matt described the poison was that it was birth control/an abortive type thing that stopped Anjali's char from getting pregnant

They made such a big deal about the fact that she hadn't borne the king an heir, and any child she might bear in the future wouldn't be eligible for the throne, it just felt more like it was angling in that direction. Particularly given that they had that talk where he very pointedly mentioned future children? As if he already knew she would have an easier time getting pregnant in the future because no one would be poisoning her/her spouse

Idk it just adds a nice fucked up layer to the relationship between the queen and the bishop and it just wouldn't be ACOC spinoff without deeply fucked relationships
