Someone pointed out that the reason Bill is yellow despite his parents being blue and red (making him purple) is because purple is the opposite of yellow on the colour wheel and Bill is the opposite of what they wanted, I'm fucking bawling you guys why is the lore like this 😭

You remind me of early morning drives when the sun is barley up, autumn days and worn out jumpers frayed at the sleeves, old vinyl and deep late night conversations, Halloween and scary movies and the moths that'll flutter about you room crashing into lamps that despite being somewhat infuriating have an odd sort of charm in there clumsiness, the BIG summer skies that seem to stretch on for miles and the bittersweet nostalgia of what once was. Is that enough? (Apologies for the pretentiousness, I felt like being dramatic, im actually very silly :3)

Following the previous post I made, here, have an absolutely BRILLIANT tlw follow on fanfic written by one of my friends...
I Never Did Catch Up With Pete McVries
I never did catch up with Pete Mcvries that day. But he waiting for me at the place I ended up. When the Long Walk of that year wrapped up, it was carnage. Fireworks were banging overhead although it was the middle of the day, music blared incessantly and at an incredible pitch, and the guards were kept busy forming a human barricade to the folk who were literally hurling themselves at me, the road, the halftrack, whatever they could. The crowd was like a single mad animal and its no surprise why: there had never been two winners of a Walk before. It made this one historic. Everyone wanted to say they'd been there, at the end, with me and McVries.
It took me a long time to stop walking. It was like every muscle in my body was on autopilot and knew that its continued existence depended on putting one foot after the other. To be honest, its been months, and I still haven't totally shaken the feeling. Sometimes at night I wake up not in my bed, but paving the living room, marching the length of the long corridors, or even the walking grounds. I live somewhere nice, now. Its big and airy and spacious and everything I dreamed of in my life before the Walk when I thought about what the Prize would be like. Actually its even better than I thought. So much its a little embarrassing. Those times I wake up walking? There's always a maid or some member of household staff to gently usher me back to bed, bring me a long cool glass of water and give me one of those green pills that still both my mind and my legs. I don't think my mom will ever get over it. She visits all the time.
McVries is in the room next door. That's the best thing about the prize. We can talk whenever we like now, and for however long we want. Often, it's just me talking at him, but he'll give a small smile now and then, or raise one of those cynical eyebrows, or just snort a little, and I know I've made him think. Rarely, he'll graze me with his opinion. They're never easy, McVries' opinions, by when he doles them out, like precious pearls, makes you really stop and listen.
After the Walk ended, the Major came and shook my hand. He had to walk pretty fast to keep up with me. He didn't shake McVries', which I still think is pretty weird given that my friend was ahead of me so was the real winner that day. I'm mean, I'm not complaining; second place had brought me a life I never could have imagined. Not to mention the fact that I'm still amazed to be alive. I ask McVries about that, sometimes, in the pit of the night, when sleep won't come. I ask him how it feels to have soon the thing, really won it. He never says.
There are some other people here, who share the house with me. I don't mind. I like having them around, except when the screaming becomes too loud or the maids have to give them shots. The noise takes me back to the final day of the Walk, where the crowds along the roadside were incessant and the girls were screaming out names. Luckily, these sorts of incidents don't happen too often, although I have mentioned to McVries that maybe we should start looking for somewhere else. I mean, with the Prize money we can go wherever we want. Live in a castle, on an island, in a ranch house next door to the Major if it took our fancy. Whenever I raise this, he takes my hand and looks at me, hard but not unkindley, and I don't know why, but I always change the subject.
