I work at senior living and have for years. I am closer to these people than their grandchildren. So who will take care of you? An underpaid overworked young adult who cares too much and is constantly taken advantage of. But will consider it worth it because they are more the residents family than their own.

The people who go "well who's going to look after you when you're old?" when you say you're not having kids are breathtakingly naive. Our next-door neighbour, somewhere in her mid-80s, has a son, grandkids, and a grear-granddaughter, and who's the one she calls when she needs help, and checks that she's not spending christmas alone? Me and my boyfriend.

Having kids is irrelevant if the answer to that question is still going to be "the mentally ill faggots next door."

I don’t like ocs. I don’t like reader insert. Very rarely do I like first person (I don’t have any ideas why I don’t). Many people don’t.

Do them anyway. Who fucking cares if assholes like your oc or art or fic? There’s filters. Write it, draw it, create it because it brings you joy.

I like so much oc art because I love it. I don’t love the oc, I love the person who made it. I love their passion. When I filter out reader insert and the number of fics drops significantly, my first thought is damn someone else has found their niche.

You don’t have to like everything you come across. People don’t have to like everything you make. There are filters and block buttons and a back button. You like it that is enough to make it. If you share it you are gonna find people who’s favorite thing is the type of content you are creating.
