"Spinning Guitar" by @mattiasyoutube Inspired by a rotating guitar/bass invented back in the 1960s, Mattias took it one step further to add more strings and make the construction more stable.  The neck is made from stacks of 3D printed cylinders and the frets are laser cut wood discs that fit between the cylinders. Each string uses a "standard" headless guitar tuner -- fixed at the head and terminating at the bottom with a tunable screw. I had nothing to do with this project, but I couldn't help but share this awesome innovation. Now I'm practicing rosining my bow with good bow-hand position.

Not much to listen to at the moment.

New bow, new rosin, new strings, nothing is sticking to anything.

Bowing a string is alternating stick-slip behavior. The sticking is not happening yet.

This shit's not easy.

OK. Viola practice progress: Pizzicato callus on my index fingertip, check! Better fingering muscle memory? (Maybe?) But my intonation has been drifting bizarrely. Enter Suzuki Method tapes on the fingerboard! I think it really does help the student succeed! I totally endorse it.

So, in my practicing, I have developed a pizzicato callus on my right fingertip. And enough muscle memory that my fingering is getting more automatic. But, as my fingering has improved, my intonation (accuracy) has begun drifting more. Enter Suzuki Violin Method tape on the fingerboard!
