I had to snap a pic of last night’s dinner veggies before I started chopping them up. Too cute. 🔪 . We had wild Pacific salmon on alfalfa sprouts with garlic, mushrooms, and asparagus. Lots of lemon 🍋 . I honestly like the fatter asparagus more but they were all super skinny at the store! Must have been the weather...? Also waiting for purple to come back. . We bought this blender from a collector 6 or 7 years ago. Needless to say, after many roommates the lid got lost. Probably thrown out. So after a couple years of not using it I put my request out and waited. One day, someone replied! New lid $2. I was avidly making smoothies for years after that, haha. My husband took the matching toaster that belonged to his Nana so I’m left with a mismatched pair. . Q 4 U: I’m going to cover the laminate that covers the counter but I’m not sure what the best way to do it is. Ideas? It’s a rental so I don’t want to spend much but can also go for something permanent, I’ve lived here too long to get my deposit back 😆 . I guess that’s all that’s on my mind regarding this photo. Hello everyone! Here I am with Maskwa on Quarry Rock in Deep Cove overlooking the inlet towards Belcarra. It was taken one week ago, February 28th by another local woman taking her first hike alone with her dog. We took turns taking photos of each other with our doges to celebrate the occasion. Here’s to independence! . If you’re able and in Vancouver and you like hiking /real hiking/ you’ll enjoy this beginners hike through Baden Powell Trail. There is even a bus that stops near the trailhead! It’s about an hour up the mountain to the rock but is by no means the end of the trail, nor the peak of the mountain. . Here is a promise that this account will not lay infertile. It has been a year minus 12 days since my last post, coincidentally enough. I haven’t been super well mentally the past 10 months and after my last post my partner and I toured so so much that we were barely home. No exaggeration, by the end of it we were away two weeks or more out of each month. It all very much took a toll on us both. . I wrote a summary on what I’ve been through the past year which turns out is too long for Instagram so I may possibly make a video. The script is already written, so why not? . Thanks to those who have not unfollowed, and those who engage with me through my Instagram stories. . I’ve always considered spring as another chance at a new start, with the same feeling of a new year. I do think of it as the real beginning to a new year as is represented in nature and culture. I am currently preparing for the arrival of spring and am excited to show the world a better me (again). I definitely had more motivation, determination, and energy last winter to start my life on another foot but life threw a huge huge stick in my spikes. Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t.
