In Search of the Culprit [Drabble]

Takes place in September after school starts back up. Junpei and Kotone are having a hard time cracking a case of their own, only for Chidori to swing by and lend a hand. Word Count: 1000

After sharing some distressing news to the Chairman, the students plan for the next time they run into this intruder, finding a way to split the team so one can go for the outdoor expedition while the rest remain in Tartarus. They have a whole month to do so before the next Arcana Shadow would appear, as that should give them enough time to pin down their target.

All the while, the students know better than to doze off in school, as they still have homework to do on a day-to-day basis. Not only that but after-school clubs as well. Chidori goes to head to her art club right after school only to run into two other SEES colleagues having a bit of a situation. Kotone and Junpei happen to be discussing with one another with photos in their hands, with the man rubbing the back of his head while the girl shakes her head in dismay.

The young redhead can’t help but intrude, seeing them in some sign of distress. She sees the photographs they have in their hands, showing Kotone in the main focus. “What do you have there? Is this for the photography club?”

“Huh!?” Junpei jumps in surprise only to see Chidori. “Oh, hey. We’re just trying to find who’s been taking these pictures.”

“Yeah, it’s pretty disturbing…” Kotone feels unsettled by the idea someone’s been taking photos of her without her knowledge. Without consent, even. “We’ve only managed to get our hands on this photo but apparently there are other ones going around.”

“It ticks me off…!” Junpei grunts. “Someone has no reason to stoop this low. I mean, c’mon, that’s just plain creepy!”

Chidori hums in concern, finding this definitely uneasy for sure. “Have you checked the photography room? That’d be the first place I would look.”

“We just came from there, actually,” Junpei responds. “But the club prez has no clue who’s doin’ it. I could ask my guy friends too, but…”

The auburn-haired girl shakes her head, shrugging with her hands up. “I would assume it’s any of the second-years from PE, but everyone I have talked to hasn't given me any clues.”

The redhead hums once more. “Come with me. I’ll see if I have any luck from any of my classes.”

“You mean, where the other Sophomores are at?” Junpei seems taken back by the idea, but seems very plausible. “Well shoot, might as well.”

The three head to the hallway where the first year students are usually at as Chidori goes to enter her usual classroom as she hears her classmates talking foolishly in the distance. She peeks around to see some young students in the room as she looks back to the two before disappearing. “I’ll be right back.”

She walks into the classroom as the two wait outside and shrug at one another to see what she may find. They can hear the obnoxious students in the same room talking loudly only for them to stop as the girl approaches them. “Oh hey, Yoshino! What’s up— HEY WHAT THE HELL??”

“What do you think you’re doing!!??”

“Girl, you’re freaking me out!!”

“Tell me where these photos came from. Now…” Chidori’s voice becomes low and menacing, scaring the poor guys with little mercy. The two second-years outside can hear the scream and squeal coming from the male students in the classroom, making them all the more concerned about what's going on in there.

One of the students begs her to let them go, as the young man’s scream becomes more pitched. “Please, please, that’s all I know!! Waaahhh!!”

It was only a matter of a minute when Chidori comes out and gives them additional photos she had gathered from the guys earlier. “Here. I happened to get my hands on some of these while I got a chance to pin them for questioning. I wish there was more I could do, they didn’t spit out who was behind all this.”

“Yooo, you got all these… for us?” Junpei appears rather ecstatic and she happened to find some more photos that were being passed around, lending to help them out when they’ve been trying to crack this case for a few days already.

“Wow, thank you Chidori-chan! This already helps us a lot!” Kotone smiles and bows to the young girl in gratitude, hoping they can rest easier now that they may be one step closer to finding the culprit.

The former navigator bows in return. “It wasn’t much. Honest. I hope you find the guy who’s behind all of this.” As plain as it sounds, she really hopes they can track the guy down too. With Junpei lending a hand for Kotone in hopes to find the person involved, she feels even more confident they’ll find that person in no time. “I could let my father know about this, too. He may be able to put up a search efficiently before this gets out of hand.”

“I-I think we got this under control. Thanks though,” Junpei smiles over to her in glee. “But if we hit a wall at any point in time, then we’ll take that into consideration.”

“Hmph. Very well then.” Chidori sighs happily knowing he has the female leader’s back. He seems awfully serious about this mission too, as it has no relation to the Dark Hour or Shadows of the sort. Perhaps he wants to be a ‘hero’ no matter where he goes. “Well, I should get going now. Take care.”

She waves them off before casually going back to where she was meaning to go, leaving the two be in hopes to figure out the person involved with the photos. Junpei slowly looks over to her direction with wide eyes, still completely amazed how she handled the situation with the other students with no fuss or anything. Kotone seems just as surprised too, but she can tell Junpei is more astounded than she is as she finally lets out a smirk in admiration.

Trying to organize notes on a WIP with a shitload of different characters and plotpoints is a nightmare. Someone remind me why I always go for complex projects?

Makoto and Kotone: Hands of the Wild Card (Strengthens all phys + magic attacks [including Almighty] by 25%)

Yukari and Mitsuru: Heal and Nurture (Reset negative stats & cures all ailments)

Aigis and Makoto: A Heart with a Soul (Megidolaon + Restores all HP upon Death)

Takaya and Jin: Hell Almighty (Megidola + Knock Down)

Story "Battle Mechanic":

So long before I played Reload (or hell before the game was even announced) I thought of a battle mechanic with the team to be paired with duos (so similar with P5R's Showtime attacks). Each character would be pair with at least two or three others total to trigger their special abilities. Name's WIP,meanwhile I have a list of ideas what each duos I listed will do (more on that later)

I had this idea for a while now where when Fuuka would dig into any kirijo group data and find the footage regarding Yukari's father, Jin would be helping her out as well and find even more information regarding the group as well.

Just writing some white day FuuJin fic in my spare time and I came across the realization how much of a tease Jin can be to Fuuka...

like whenever he knows what Fuuka likes or how much she admires smth, he would make sure to make a light-hearted tone about it and would have her be surprised like "huh?? how do you know??" which makes her somewhat embarrassed but ya know what- I think Jin loves to do that to her more than he would admit
