Drag Me Down (Part Six)
Tumblr media
Fandom: Supernatural Pairing: Sam Winchester x F!Reader Trigger Warnings: Mention of blood
Summary: The reader and the Winchesters have been friends for a while, but when the reader ups and leaves one night, she doesn’t think she’ll ever see them again, that is until they roll back into town.
A/N: I literally wrote this at 1am so I really hope my sleep deprived ramblings make sense to you guys. Let me know what you think! And, as always, if you want to be added to the tag list please do let me know! ~ Gemma
(Part One)  (Part Two)  (Part Three)  (Part Four)  (Part Five)
You flicked the latch on the door as you ran out, slamming the wood closed behind you.
Upon hearing the racket, you were causing behind him, Sam stopped in his tracks and turned to face you, a good ten feet ahead of you.
Damn his long legs.
You stopped momentarily, pulling the keys for the bar from your jacket pocket, locking the building up properly before turning back to face your friend.
“You can’t just walk away from me, Sam.” You sighed, storming towards him, pulling your jacket on. “I’m going to help but I have some ground rules.” You stood in front of him, crossing your arms over your chest.
He only nodded.
You took that as your queue to continue. “I will help you find Dean. I will help you fix whatever the hell is wrong with him. But when we’re done, I’m done.” Sam nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. His hands shifted a little as he shoved them deeper into his jean pockets.
When your eyes dragged up his face, you couldn’t help but match his expression, a matching smile beginning to form on your own lips.
The idea of jumping back into the game, even it was with your favourite Winchester, set your teeth on edge and your heart racing.
You couldn’t put your finger on it but something about being with Sam felt so easy to you. Like you hadn’t lost any time at all. Like riding a bike. You knew you’d be able to jump right back in where you left off; hunting wise at least.
“Do we have a deal?” You allowed the smile to form fully this time, taking a small step towards the giant man in front of you, reaching your hand out for a handshake.
That familiar, heart-warming, smile finally returned to his drained features.
Sam turned his body slightly and reached out his hand, shaking it lightly in agreement.
“You drive a hard bargain, Miss Y/L/N.” You laughed and dropped the younger Winchesters’ hand, shoving your own hands into the pockets of your jacket and began falling into stride with Sam as the two of you rounded the corner. The sight of the impala meeting your eyes for the first time in three years.
The sight of the old ’67 bought a bubbling feeling to your stomach. It had been so long since you had seen the sleek black paintwork and the shiny metal trims; familiarity filling you once more.
“Hi, Baby.” You beamed as you strode up to the car ahead of Sam, lightly running your finger over the hood and examining the beautiful body work
Many nights had been spent in the back of the impala, sometimes asleep, the low purr of the engine a sweet lullaby keeping you company as you drifted off. Other times, the boys would be driving back to the motel you were staying in at a dangerous speed when you had managed to somehow get injured from the hunt; Dean screaming about not getting blood on the leather.
It hurt you to know that Dean was so far gone that he’d abandoned the vehicle.
Sam leaned around you, ignoring your daydreams, and pulled the door open for you. The familiar creak of the door reverberating through the otherwise silent night.
“We have to go to my apartment first, I need to pick some things up.” You spoke as you dipped into the car, the cold leather of the seats seeping through the jeans you were wearing.
“Of course.” Sam nodded, closing the door before walking around the hood of the car and seating himself beside you on the drivers side. “You ready?”
You took a breath as you looked out the windshield into the dark of the street.
“Yeah.” No.

Drag Me Down (Part Five)
Tumblr media
Fandom: Supernatural Pairing: Sam Winchester x F!Reader Trigger Warnings: Mentions of Alcohol, mention of Bobby’s Death
Summary: The reader and the Winchesters have been friends for a while, but when the reader ups and leaves one night, she doesn’t think she’ll ever see them again, that is until they roll back into town.
A/N: I’m so sorry that this has taken me so long to write and honestly I’m not entirely happy with how this turned out, but I’ve gotten a new laptop and can’t get to my old one, which has my other written stuff on it, which means I had to change my idea completely. I hope you guys like it.  As always if you want to be added to the tag list please do let me know. ~ Gemma.
(Part One) (Part Two) (Part Three) (Part Four)
The minute that you heard Sam’s voice the whole of your body relaxed. It had been three years but still that man had a strange effect on your body.
“Hey.” He had a small smile on his face as he looked at you across the brightly lit bar. The bright white lights illuminated his features, the bags under his eyes seemed to be darker than the last time you had seen him and although he smiled, it didn’t quite reach his eyes.
A silence passed over the two of you as you stared at him across the bar. The emotion of seeing him again pulled your chest tight, you started to bite the inside of your lip to attempt to stop yourself crying at the sight of him.
“Don’t think me rude, but what are you doing here, Sam?” You asked, placing your bar rag onto the side of the wooden bar top and turning to grab two beers from the fridge.
“Crowley didn’t tell you?”
“He didn’t tell me you were in town if that’s what you mean. “Another, almost uncomfortable, silence fell upon you again before you walked around the bar and grabbed a seat on one of the bar stools. “I know about Dean.” Sam didn’t say a word as he stepped forwards, grabbing the cold beer from your outstretched hand. “I’m sorry.”
“Crowley told me you said no.” He perched on the bar stool next to yours, his hazel eyes never once leaving your face.
Your own gaze never left the label of your beer bottle.
“I can’t.”
“Can’t or won’t.”
“They’re not the same thing, Sam.” You let out an exasperated sigh, finally taking a swig of your beer before bringing your soft gaze towards the man beside you.
You wanted nothing more than to be able to help him. He had been there for you through Bobby’s death, and you were eternally grateful, but you knew that getting back in the game would be worse in the long run. “I want to help you, I want nothing more than to be able to help you and Dean, but I got out. If I put a toe over the line of getting back in the game,” You paused, taking another swig before finally looking up into his eyes. “I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to get back out.”
It was Sam’s turn to sigh this time, his head hanging for a moment before nodding.
“I get it, Y/N, I just don’t think I can do this without you.” Sam took a long sip from his beer; another uncomfortable silence fell over the pair of you.
“I wanted to come back you know.” You spoke again, his eyes falling on you once again. “Once I left you guys and got on a bus to the middle of no-where I wanted to come back.” It was true for the most part. You wanted Sam in your life for as long as you could, it was the lifestyle you were running away from. “I’d just lost so many people to that life, I’d lost you and Dean more times than I cared to count, I just had to get away from it all.”
Silence fell yet again, this time comfortable and familiar. Sam smiled slightly. He wanted to come and find you when you first left. He’d looked everywhere he could think of to try and find you but eventually he and Dean had to move on. They had other people to save after all.
Sam’s gaze stayed on you for a moment before finishing off his beer and placing the bottle down on the bar top.
“I have to go.” You nodded as Sam stood up, your body involuntarily mirroring him. “I have to try and find Dean.” The tears were beginning to well in his eyes as he started to speak; not even waiting for a response before he turned and ingulfed you in a bear hug. He smelt like he always did and your own Y/E/C began filling with tears.
Sam kissed the top of your head before turning and walking out the same creaky door he’d walked in.
Another silence filled the room, heavy and crushing.
“Dammit.” You muttered to yourself, running back to the bar, reaching over, and grabbing your leather jacket. “Sam wait!”

It’s been a while
Hello trusty followers! I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on here and honestly, the only things I can say to explain my absence is the fact that I’ve changed jobs to one that I love, I work 50+ hours a week at the minute any way and my mental health has taken a turn for the worse, to the point that my mental health problem that is only just being recognised as an issue and thus far has no medication, and it’s taken over my life.
I’m going to try and get better at my writing and my time keeping, I want to be able to write more because it’s always been my escape when things have gotten bad and I don’t want that to slip away from me.
If there’s anything that you guys want to see from me in the future please do let me know!
Much Love! - Gemma

Drag Me Down (Part Four)

Fandom: Supernatural Pairing: Sam Winchester x F!Reader Trigger Warnings: Mentions of Alcohol Summary: The reader and the Winchesters have been friends for a while, but when the reader ups and leaves one night, she doesn’t think she’ll ever see them again, that is until they roll back into town.
A/N: Finally part four is up! Starting a new job so my life is hectic right now but I’ll try and be better with uploading! Hope you like this one and as always if you want to be added to the tag list please let me know!
Part One  Part Two  Part Three
The bar was slowly filtering out, the last of the drunks stumbling their way through the dark brown door on the far side of the room. The lights were up high and the music that was previously playing had been shut off and the silence overwhelmed you once the last patron let the door swing shut behind him.
Riannon, your newest bar tender was polishing wine glasses behind you, Jordan the bar back was currently refilling the bottles of liquor that had been emptied during the night. You on the other hand were wiping down the tables, putting empty glasses and bottles into a bucket to either be washed or chucked.
Your mind kept going back to Crowley, how he had told you about Dean being in a bad way, how Sam couldn’t handle it, you couldn’t imagine how bad it had to be for Crowley to come and find you; especially after he had promised Sam to leave you alone.
You shook your head slightly, banishing the thought from your mind.
You made your way back to the bar, placing your bucket down on the wood and turning to face your two workers.
“You guys can head home, I’ll finish up here.” You smiled and walked around behind the bar, starting to separate bottles and glasses from your round up.
“You sure?” Jordan asked, putting a bottle of Jack Daniels onto the shelf.
“Yeah it’s fine, I’ll be here a while and you guys need your sleep.” They smiled and thank you, putting down the final bits of their jobs and grabbing their coats on the way out.
You found peace when it was just on your own, you could sing to yourself as you started to finish off the jobs that were left behind.
You couldn’t help but still think about Sam. He wasn’t the one who came to ask for help. He didn’t even ask Cas to try and find you; Crowley was the one.
Sam had been there for you in your darkest times, helping you after Bobby but you couldn’t even be there for him when he needed you the most; you regretted saying no to Crowley but it was too late. You didn’t even know where they were, they changed their numbers so much you couldn’t get hold of them even if you wanted to; they were just leaves in the wind now.
For all you knew Sam could be in the motel down the road with a case ready to go, you didn’t want to go and check. You knew they probably would have changed their aliases by now anyway.
The boys were officially a memory to you now.
Before long, you were done, almost ready to close up when the hinges to the bar door creaked open.
“I’m sorry, we’re closed.” You instinctively called without even bothering to turn around, still wiping down the last water marks on the wooden bar top.
“Even for me?” You stood bolt up right, your arm still leaning on the bar.
You closed your eyes, taking in a shaky breath as you tried to calm yourself before turning around.
Slowly you moved your body around, your (Y/E/C) eyes catching sight of the tall man in front of you.
His hair was longer, tucked behind one ear and he somehow looked more tired than the last time you saw him, but his hazel eyes still shone the same when his eyes landed on you.
“Hi Sam.”

“How could you do this to me?”
“I thought I could trust you”
“What if something happens to you?”
“You’re a terrible liar.”
“You called me, remember?”
“Oh go sit on a cactus.”
“Is that a dragon?”
“Stop complaining at least you only broke one leg?” “YOU BROKE MY LEG!” “I said I was sorry.”
“Are you trying to seduce me?”
“Pass me the salt.” “Excuse me?” “Pass me the salt please?”
“I don’t want to feel this way anymore.”
“I don’t exactly hate you, but if you were on fire and I had water, I’d drink it.”
“Were you ever even sorry?”
“I don’t love you…”
“It’s you and me against the world, babe.”
“Did you ever love me? You know what, don’t say anything , we all know the answer.”
“If I die, I’m going to haunt your ass.”
“Quit it or I’ll bite you.”
“Wait! What if we get caught?”
“I would rather live on Pluto.”
“It’s a sacrificial offering, I think.”
“How drunk was I?”
“Welcome back. Now fucking help me.”
“How could I ever forget about you?”
“Why is everything covered in green slime?”
“I see a ghost.”
“Will you just stop and look at me for a second?”
“Please, stop pretending to care about me when I know you don’t.”
“Are you done? Can you act like an adult now?”
“OH you’re jealous!”
“Just shut up and kiss me.”
“ You deserve so much better. “
“I don’t get paid enough for this shit.”

Drag Me Down (Part Three)
Tumblr media
Fandom: Supernatural Pairing: Sam Winchester x F!Reader TW: Mild Swearing, alcohol, Crowley? Summary:The reader ad the Winchesters have been friends for a while, but when the reader ups and leaves one night, she doesn’t think she’ll ever see them again: that is until they roll back into town.
a/n: Finally written part three! Let me know what you think and as always, if you want to be put into the tag list please don’t hesitate to ask :) ~ Gemma
Part One  Part Two
“How did you-“ “Come on Y/N, you can’t hide from me, you’re out of shape.” Crowley stood before you, his traditional long black coat matching perfectly with his black suit. He was however right, you were out of shape.
When you first ditched the boys in the middle of the night you had carried around hex bags with you and made sure that you made a devils trap under every door mat. But sooner or later, you started to become sloppy and clumsy, leaving the hex bags around at work as a safety precaution mainly for whom you worked with, but the devils traps no longer existed.
“I wanted out, I got out.” You shrugged, standing up from your bed and making your way across your apartment to the kitchen, grabbing a beer out of the fridge.
“That you did. I’ve been keeping my men away for months now. A favour to Moose.” Sam had asked Crowley to keep demons away from me? You asked yourself as you stood there staring at the demon in front of you.
“Why are you here Crowley?” You asked him, trying to brush off the thought that Sam had tried to protect you even though you had just up and left, not even a word in 3 years.
“Believe it or not I need your help.”
“Ask the Winchesters.”
“It’s them I need help with,” You stopped midway through taking a sip of the beer. The fizz still lingering briefly on your lips before pulling the bottle away and swallowing what little had made it into your mouth. “Well, more precisely one of them.” You hoped to God it wasn’t Sam. “See, Squirrel’s gone a little off the deep end and we’re having a little trouble bringing him back.” We? You thought to yourself, Who’s we?
“Why can’t Sam deal with it, Dean’s gone off the rails like this before, he should be able to deal with it.”
“That’s just the point darling,” Crowley continued, moving closer to you but still somehow managing to keep him calm composure, hands deep in the pockets of his coat. “Sam can’t deal with this. Dean’s gone dark side. Full blown demon. Not even an exorcism can save him.” You stared at the man for a while, debating your options. Could you just up and leave your life? You’d managed to get out, it was what every hunter had wished to do and you managed it. For three years your life was peaceful and now this asshole shows up in the middle of your apartment and asks for your help.
You wanted to help Dean. If he was that far gone, you wanted to be able to pull him back. You wanted to help Sam get his brother back. But you knew that you would never be able to go back to your normal life if you jumped back in with the Winchesters and the hunting life. Dean had tried it once and it hadn’t worked for him.
“No.” The words fell from your lips before you even had a solid chance to think.
“No?” Crowley seemed more surprised than you did by your answer.
“No. I can’t. There’s nothing I can do for them that Sam and you and probably Cas haven’t tried already. I’m of no use so, No.” Crowley stared at you for a moment, wondering if you were actually serious before a short ‘fine’ left him lips and he vanished from your sight just as quickly as he arrived.

Drag Me Down (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Fandom: Supernatural Pairing: Sam Winchester x F!Reader Trigger Warnings: Mention of Alcohol Summary: The reader and the Winchesters have been friends for a while, but when the reader ups and leaves one night, she doesn’t think she’ll ever see them again; that is until they roll back into town. A/N: Part two is finally here! I’ve been trying to think of what to write for it which is why it took me so long but it’s finally done! If you want to be added to the tag list please let me know and I’ll pop you on :) ~Gemma
Part One
You didn’t know how far you’d gone, but all you knew was that you were away from the boys. It’s not that you didn’t want to be around them, it was just the fact that being around them made you make stupid decisions and you were done with that.
Bobby had always wanted you to have your own life, never wanted you in the hunting life but you kind of got dragged into it after your parents, you wanted to know what killed them. It was an accident but it had been long enough now. With Bobby gone, you needed to honour his wishes, make sure you lived a normal and happy life.
You would have preferred for him to be alive but maybe it was the push you needed to get out.
You knew you left the boys in a lot of shit; they were dealing with the Leviathan that Cas had accidentally let out of purgatory, maybe they would have been better off handling it on their own. You weren’t aware how long you’d been travelling, stealing a car along the way before eventually you came to a town not that far out of Wisconsin, settling yourself in a quaint little café. It wasn’t much, but the pay was good and the food was even better. Your apartment was just a block away on the ground floor right at the back by the fire exit; some habits die hard.
For a while, each shift you worked you were on edge. You knew about the Leviathan plan of doing something to the food, so you stuck purely to fresh produce, nothing that could contain any kind of man made factory substance. Every time you were running orders to the hungry customers of every time you were stood behind the counter making coffee and that little bell above the door rang, you nervously turned around, a deep sigh emanating from you when you realised it was just another hungry person and not the two hunters you had ditch god knows how many months ago.
It was a constant battle, for months on end, you knew eventually the boys would walk in through those doors, you just weren’t sure when.
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months before you left your job at the café and moved a few blocks over to one of the bars in town. It was more your scene anyway.
You were so used to being around drunks and loud music and bars your whole life pretty much that working in a café definitely wasn’t the right move for you.
It was strange being on the other side of the bar for once but it was refreshing, being able to keep an eye on a lot of the people that you would normally have considered a victim of the supernatural; plus you wouldn’t be risking it with the food.
Late one night, after retiring from your shift and making it back to your apartment you collapsed onto the bed, your (Y/H/C) sprawling out behind you on the bed spread.
The moon filtered in through the window, the white light a combination of blinding and beautiful. You wanted to sit up and make yourself some food but your body ached. You’d just worked a twelve hour shift on one of the busiest nights in town and you were exhausted, had it not have been the familiar voice that spoke as soon as you were about to drift off you would have fallen asleep in the position you were in.
“Hello Y/N,” You sat bolt upright, staring at the man standing in front of you “We need to talk.”
