Why am I not surprised, I'll come back later once I can get to my doc...alright, Shadow Twilight snippet coming right up!

For those of you who don't know, this is a fic where Twilight is turned into a shadow - and boy, does that have consequences.

"I just wish I knew what happened." The whisper brushed against the air, Twilight nearly didn't hear it. "Some kind of explanation, anything. Some lead to follow. But there's just...nothing." Time took a deep breath that shuddered in his lungs. "What if he didn't come through the portal? What if we're separated? I just don't know what to do, and now I've let down Malon, and I've let down Twilight too..."

Something wrenched in Twilight's chest. He walked over and sat down next to Time. It felt odd. He barely felt the wall against his back, and none of the straw littered around the floor of the barn. Epona, Time's Epona, snickered. Did she see him? But no, Twilight knew that look. She was snickering at Time. And Time...

Time didn't react at all.

Oh now this is interesting! I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes! I can imagine Wild just trying to pet Wolfie as normal when something sliced his hand open. Like. What the hell is there?! And Twilight just feels so guilty and confused.

"Since when is your head sharp?” Wild joked with a smile as he lowered his hand into the river with a slight hiss to clean the wound out before treating it. When his hand came out Twilight winced at the gash that covered the majority of Wild’s palm, while a potion would easily heal it it, the cut was by no means small and Twilight was wondering just what was hiding in his fur that could have caused such damage to Wild’s hand?

Alright, so listen. Some of my followers may remember when I posted a snippet from a thing I was writing and mentioned in the tags that I have a world for this but hadn't posted about it at all.

I have a lot for this world and I'm planning on sharing it. Don't know when that will be, but hopefully I'll make the first post within a month or so?

I'm actually kind of pissed off by the style of Echoes of Wisdom.

Don't get me wrong, it's very cute. But that's the issue.

Lately, Legend of Zelda has had a rather distinct, high animation style. You know what I'm talking about. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Say what you want about the latter, but they're beautiful games.

Fans have been asking for a Zelda POV game for years now. Which is understandable. Zelda is awesome. It makes sense that Nintendo would decide to make a Zelda POV game.

But why this kidsy, cutesy art style?

It reads as Nintendo not taking this game seriously, at least to me. And considering the milestone nature of EoW, it also reads as them not taking Zelda seriously as a protagonist. And that's what pisses me off.

The last time we had such an art style for a Legend of Zelda game was in Triforce Heroes, which clearly did not take itself seriously. To apply such a tone to EoW gives the wrong impression, and by extension, applies that impression to Zelda.

If you like the art style, go ahead. I'm not going to fuss about people liking the art style. I do think it's very cute, it's just that for me, that fact is insulting to Zelda as a character.

And to clarify, it's insulting because EoW is Zelda's FIRST game as the main protagonist. If this were not her first game as the main protagonist, I would not have this issue.

Oh it's a very good show! Highly recommend, though if you watch all of it, you will cry. Season 1 has some filler episodes that aren't so great, but it is ALL worth it in my opinion.

i'm curious. what's your opinion on the show "The Owl House"? i have seen you have Great Taste in media. (how to train your dragon, Legend of zelda, avatar the last airbender) but if you don't like it/haven't heard of it that's okay too!! i hope you have a good day!!!!!

i think its a very nice show from what I can see- I have sadly never watched it but I like the vibe of it! and maybe in the future ill watch it XD

Anyone ever have that experience where life slaps you in the face with "you mean a lot to this person you barely see"?

This happened back at my high school graduation.

There was this little girl who cried for an hour or so because I was going away.

I sat in on one of her history classes about the American Revolution and Paul Revere.

I mentored her at lunch once a week.

I'd barely seen her in the past two, three years.

And she cried when I left.

It's. It's odd to know I've impacted someone.

I'm atheist and queer. So not only do I not believe "God" exists, but according to common dogma, I am literally the epiphany of someone who's going to hell without being a criminal.

Silly Game Time: (Bringing back a crowd favorite)

We're about to march into glorious battle! But unfortunately ... our weapon shipment got mixed up with the London Philharmonic Orchestra's insturment shipment.

Use a random letter generator, then look up a musical instrument that starts with that letter to find out which musical instrument is now your improvised melee weapon. Post a picture! On a scale of 1 to 10, how much use is it going to be in our now less-than-glorious battle?

...I don't know you. I'm pretty sure I've never interacted with you.

But you know what? This looks interesting and I am bored, so you're in luck.

I got the letter P.

Now, one would probably immediately think "piano". I did not. So I looked up a list of musical instruments that start with 'p'.

I present to you, our Orchestra General...

PALITOS INSTRUMENTO MUSICAL!

Palitos are a percussion instrument in Cuba. You strike a block with sticks. (Block not pictured)

Now, as for the rating. For funny points, I'm going to guess the opposing force also had their weapons mixed up with musical instruments. Otherwise, this would get real dark real quickly.

In a battle of musical instruments, a good strategy would be to use loud instruments to disorient the opponent. Others will be used as bludgeons. One should arm their own forces with high-quality (foam!) earplugs, for safety reasons. However, *gasp!* the enemy has chosen the same strategy.

Unfortunately, drums are of little use due to the earplugs and the drummers got into a fight that broke their sticks. Phooey.

This leaves the rest of the armies (including myself, since palitos are not loud enough to qualify for distraction) to duke it out in a gloriously undignified mess of wood, music twangs, and that one group with soldiers from both sides who just decided to go play their instruments in the corner over there. Thanks for the soundtrack!

Now, palitos are small sticks and a block. What can I do with those? It's very very simple. Any stick can be used to stab someone in the eye, and I am vicious. I sharpen the sticks on what's available and then get around the big things being thrown around and broken and stab people in the eyes, ribs, joints, head. Wherever I can reach.

(We're going to assume that magic healing is available in this crazy world.)

However, palitos are still small and relatively useless if I get cornered or surrounded, or just hit by someone wielding a half-broken cello.

Therefore, I give palitos a 5/10. Points given for being unassuming and stick-like. Points taken for being useless against bigger things.

The bandages weren't even starting to bleed through, so Vesg didn't poke at them too much and settled back down. As fabric stopped rustling, a noise came to his ears.

Footsteps.

A chill went down Vesg's spine. Not just any footsteps. Sure, confident, accompanied by the sway of expensive fabric and the clinks and rings of metal ornaments bumping into each other. The owner.

Fan Joy July

I have unstable internet. Why is this related to fan joy? Because I download epubs of stories I like. The reader I use keeps track of authors, among other things. I normally don't pay attention to the author, but one day when I was browsing the library of my old phone (where my largest library currently lives), I'd gone to the fics-by-author tab in hopes of mixing things up. I scrolled through a long list of authors who I had only downloaded one, two, maybe three works from. Nine from this one person, they had a series. I expected that, but...

Then I stopped. If I was eating at the time, I might have spat it out.

One author had TWENTY-THREE works I'd downloaded!

I don't pay ATTENTION to this kind of stuff! I don't really care who makes a thing, just that it's good!

That was the day I discovered I have a favorite author: @somer-writes .

So much Twilight angst. So much.

Every story in my head, unless I originally thought of it as for another Link, inevitably turns into a Twilight story. Almost all of my AUs focus on either Twilight or all the Links (and I started with Twilight). I am obsessed with this guy. In a fan joy way.

Somer writes the best Twilight angst, hands down. I study his work.

So this July, I'm dedicating to you, Somer. You're an amazing writer and I couldn't be more happy I discovered I have a favorite.

My favorite Link is Twilight. I almost feel sorry for him though, because I'm the type of fanfiction writer who torments their favorite in every story.

My favorite character type is dark, angsty, and traumatized, so that's why.

But yeah, I really like stories about Twilight and his wolf curse.

I went to a UNIFORM SCHOOL for six years. A lot of the girls wore the skirts, of course. The school didn't care too much about the length, but my mom sure did! Every morning in the drop-off line, she seemed to always be able to find one girl whose skirt was too short. And, no they weren't. I'm like, mom. Grow up. It's fine, nobody cares.

The school didn't care about the length of girls' skirts. But they cared a whole lot about whether your jacket was school-approved. I couldn't afford a jacket that was safe for me sensory-wise and fit, so I ended up freezing because they wouldn't let me wear a jacket I already had. I'm cold intolerant.

If I was a mom and my teenage daughter got dress coded at school…. I would pick THE messiest fight with her principal. If a grown man said that my teenage daughter’s clothes were distracting? I would be so fucking pissed. That man would never breathe near my child again
