i saw a lot of myers-briggs personality types memes floating around and then saw this list that described my personality type and couldn’t help but laugh.

me being me, i edited into a grey background ( #313131 ) and then added todoroki to the corner (with shadowing). it’s so silly and i don’t know why it’s so funny to me.

in reference to my todoroki polaroid edit, i was not sexualising him with it. for you anime only stans, it is a joke from the manga. a bunch of kids call him five peepee man and mr willy because of the vials on his belt. it’s a fandom joke, and not meant to sexualise him in way whatsoever. i hope this clears up any misunderstandings. if you wish to see it, just look up todoroki five peepee man and you’ll see the manga panels. :) .

so i was playing around with some images and decided to layer the pride flag over a sunset then add a silhouette?? it looks cute so i rendered some transparent todoroki and midoriya things and it looks soft. happy pride month from your favourite garden gnome.

bakugou stans.

THIS MAY OFFEND SOME PEOPLE, READ WITH CAUTION.

i love the bnha fandom. for the most part, majority are very supportive and open, multishippers and mostly just positive people but one thing about it that never fails to make me laugh are the extreme bakugou stans.

i'm talking about the ones that attempt to mimic his personality, who refuse to acknowledge any of the other characters strengths, blatantly hate on midoriya and todoroki.

they never fail to make me laugh. ever. i saw this one post, where they claimed bakugou was obviously going to be the number one hero, and they also said todoroki and midoriya would lose to bakugou any day. do we watch the same show? the entire show is a flashback, a retelling from midoriya of how he became the number one hero.

as for todoroki, he held his own against bakugou in the sports festival arc whilst going through a mental breakdown, using half his power, without being at his full power due to previous matches. bakugou has talent but todoroki has experience and skill, he's on a whole other level due to his childhood.

and midoriya? season three, his fight with bakugou. he held his own, using very little of his power. he was equally matched with bakugou, without being at 100%.

bakugou has a long way to go. he has to mature, get stronger. his tactical abilities and raw talent are unmatched, but with experience, training and patience he'll make a damned good hero. don't be one of those extreme stans who try to act like him. he doesn't hate midoriya, he doesn't hate todoroki.

his distaste for midoriya comes from insecurity, as deku has always gotten up no matter how much he was pushed down. it's an acknowledgement of his strength, not weakness.

he doesn't dislike todoroki. in fact, he respects and even states that todoroki is a lot more powerful than him, and instead of challenging him, he works with him and teams up with him. have you seen how well they work together in the movie? they'd make an amazing duo.

anyway, don't be like the extreme bakugou stans.

my special person and i had a conversation about being happy but tired and were trying to come up with a name for it? i called it good dumb, and his smart, tiny self called it exhausted happy. and decided to edit a mini ‘manga’ thing! our friends calls us irl tododeku, and i couldn’t believe how well it fit. i hope you enjoy this random... thing. read it like a manga!

OK BNHA RANT TIME! CONTAINS SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE MANGA!!

It honestly bothers me so much when i see people push the notion that Shouto Todoroki is a cold, aloof tsundere. It just isn’t true? Yes, at first Todoroki was cold - but he was a trauma victim. You expect him to be happy and smiling, with all that internalised hatred for himself and his family? For his own dna, because his own mother shamed him for it? No, that’s illogical. 

Todoroki got over it. He grew, he developed. But he has ALWAYS had a sharp tongue. Todoroki is funny, very funny. He isn’t cold and serious, and in fact in season three of the anime, he has a relatively deep conversation with Midoriya about Midoriya’s habit of helping people. Todoroki is dense in social situations but he isn’t clueless? That’s another thing that bothers me. He isn’t stupid or dumb by any means. He is the smartest male in the class, along with Bakugou (plus his skills as a hero, he is already better than the average pro and that is FACT not opinion, it is said in the manga and during the sports festival arc of the anime). 

The tsundere personality type is someone who is cold then turns warm - and I suppose that does happen but not in the way a tsundere does? Todoroki doesn’t fit the stereotype. He didn’t acknowledge anyone until Midoriya in the sports festival arc - not as people anyway. He analysed them and their flaws, but did not associate. He didn’t just warm up, he completely changed with EVERYONE.

He smiles, he laughs, he makes jokes, he teases people. Todoroki WILLINGLY goes up to people - and is anime/manga buddies with Sero. In fact, Kirishima refers to them as SEROROKI and when Shinsou stated he didn’t need friends, Sero turned to Todoroki to say that Shinsou reminded him of ‘EARLYROKI’. If the characters can acknowledge Todoroki’s personal growth and development, why can’t some of the fandom? Of course, perceive them as you will, but seeing comments under posts going ‘oh but todoroki is a tsundere :/ this doesn’t suit him at all’ it’s irritating? Of course, if you haven’t read the manga, I understand that but even in the anime he’s teasing and having laughs.

Hell, there was the hero killer arc where he was willing to sacrifice himself for Iida. He smiled when he said ‘go guys’ as they charged Stain. During the Bakugou’s Kidnapping incident, he teases Bakugou about Kota. During the movie, he’s playful with Bakugou and even works amazingly with Bakugou. At the end, he turns his head and SMILES at Bakugou who then drops his own smile to scowl at him. I can’t fit all the pictures.

Many think Todoroki is a popular character, but he is actually one of the most hated. A lot of people just view him as a cold, cliche, daddy issues character and yes it bothers me. Are we watching the same show? Reading the same manga??
