How do you decide on what colors to use?🍽️
wellll i mostly do not like to color my drawings because im not the best at it.. but when i do, i like to unify my color palette with one color! this can be pretty easy to do digitally by picking out a palette of colors and then choosing a color to add a slight transparent tint to each one, or just handpicking colors and considering what it would be like to physically mix the colors irl (ex: if i want an orange or yellow unifying color, when i pick out a blue, i might pick out a greenish blue color, or pull it almost towards gray) this is easiest to visualize, imo, by picking out your lightest color first since white is such an easily changed color
uhh another tip that i like to use is, when deciding on my palette, to shift the lighter colors warmer or cooler, and the darker colors the opposite (like if your lighter colors are warmer, make ur darker colors cooler). i think this allows u to capture a wide range and contrast in a piece!
