I can’t believe that you’re one of those people that thinks that transgender women are women. They’re not. That is against female rights

In all of my years of being on Tumblr, I’ve always made it a point to make this a safe place for many. The point of this blog is that it’s welcoming to everyone, hence the name “welcome-to-green-hills.” You are accepted here as who, what, and what you aspire to be.

Here’s the thing: transgender women are women. Transgender and transsexual women are, in fact, women. Intersex women, demi-female/women, non-binary women, bigendered, those who are still exploring, and anyone that identifies as a woman is woman. You don’t get to decide that they’re not. No one has that authority to decide that.

The question in mind here is “what makes a woman a woman?” Well, I can tell you that the original argument does not stand anymore. One does not need to have two X chromosomes in order to be considered a woman. This has been proven biologically with science. We can see the wonders and glory of what chromosome can do to our bodies. We can see that having two binaries of a determined sex does not fit everyone. Culture does have a say as well. Yes, culture and social norms can help shape and identify a woman, but that doesn’t have to strictly cater to cisgendered individuals. It begins as a clean slate that one works with and finds characteristics that fit within themselves... their true selves that perfectly reflect them.

These are women, whether you disagree with me or not. I’m not asking you to magically change your beliefs by the time you read this, I’m asking you to be mindful of others. This is not a violation of Women’s Rights at all. They are included. They are women who should be allowed the same rights as a cigender woman is given. These are women that can help shed new light in better health care, voting rights, equal pay, better work ethics, and many more! How would this be a bad thing for Women’s Rights? These are points that help strengthen both Women’s Rights and LGBTQAI+ rights.

Transgender women are women. I encourage you to explore this topic more. Understand why this is important to know. Asks questions if you don’t understand! I’m not asking you to understand the whole history and topic of it in one day. I’m asking you be mindful and show a level of compassion. Understand this is who they are and what they identify as. If this can’t be accepted in your book, then I hope that you reconsider one day. Until then, I’ll be here. I will continue to use my voice to bring an awareness of equality.
