The pilot for Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi and The Modifyers have a somewhat similar art direction, so I think the characters look good all together like that. I enjoyed drawing Agent Zero so much I drew her twice, and I ended up making a page with a double image, something I don't usually do.

I don't think The Modifyers would've been in good hands if it got picked up by Nickelodeon. The circumstances surrounding this pilot make me feel sad

Page 1 work in progress. Travun, Age 20. I'm not drawing all the pages in order, so if you're wondering why the 1st page isn't done, that's because I'm working on other pages as well. This is a redo of the original version of the first page from late 2023. He's doing the same walking pose as the original, but I modified his design and gave it more vibrant shading for this one, and I plan to make the surroundings more unique looking.

It's weird how it took so long to get more female smurfs. Smurfette's introduction is the worst of them, with the whole "being a real smurf" thing, thinking her black hair is ugly, then everyone trying to get with her when her hair turned blonde & she changed clothes, but all the others had an interesting first appearance. I like how Sassette kept her original hair, it's tied up but presumably still pretty frizzy. She's a bit of a wild child who doesn't just do traditionally feminine things, I think she's pretty adorable, and it's nice how the smurflings wanted someone Smurfette could spend more time with. I only saw The Smurfs 2 once, years ago, but Vexy was the first time I saw another female smurf and thought she was cool. They didn't do much with her beyond that, so that sucks. I didn't see the cgi smurfs film but I was curious about the concept, and I'm actually glad they stuck with it this time for their new show, plus appearances in the comics. I haven't seen too much Smurfs media in general but I've enjoyed the 80s tv show from the little I've seen, and I think the new show is alright.

I drew them together for no real reason, I'm not sure if they'd make a good trio or not. I wonder how similar Shadow and Bark are personality wise, if Shadow could learn to tolerate Bean.

Been re-listening to an old Sailor Moon podcast called Sailor Business & found a new Scooby Doo one called Jinkies Junkies. Ami kinda reminds me of Velma, that's the only reason I made this.

There's also an artist that goes by tr3forever who used to make a lot of crossover art with Sailor Moon, Scooby Doo & Ghostbusters, I was reminded of him while doing this

Been reading some Fleetway Sonic comics recently, it has one of my favorite designs for Sonic so I wanted to emulate that, but add a little more to it. Some of Sonic's most prominent rivals throughout the series are specifically green for some reason, so I thought that'd make a nice image

A few months ago I made a post about a video showcasing all the samples in Sonic Rush, but now the same guy made an improved version of the video! It does a slightly better job showing where all the samples came from

I wanted to draw them ever since I first saw them a few years ago, I'm only getting to it now. I also thought I'd found a new job, but even though the person who interviewed me seemed to like me I was still turned down. Oh well

My favorite design for Knuckles comes from the movies, I think it's what the Sonic Boom design should've been, making him look muscular without overdoing it. I almost gave him a little sports tape under his gloves/ in his shoes since I like the idea of these athletic adventurers wearing that stuff, but I gave that to Trip The Sungazer for a modern redesign. They're both guardians with friends in far off places, spending most of their time with the island inhabitants. Also I'm finally getting a new job soon

I drew Tails with blue shoes, based on a coloring error from old concept art, mixed with his color scheme from the 90s cartoons because I like how different it looks, with so many Sonic characters wearing red.

I also made Charmy Bee look more like an insect, based on his first two designs from an obscure manga & this one fire ant character (Archimedes) in Archie Sonic

Shantae has a regular form & can turn into different animals, like a monkey, but doesn't have a hybrid form like Goku or Vegeta. So I wanted to make one for her as my last fanart of 2024

This was a commission for somebody. They wanted a sequel to a drawing I did months ago, which was also something someone asked me to do. I drew Lynn & Rainbow Dash in these same outfits a while back, so Lola is holding the high heels and boa that RD wore before running off.

I'm adding more to the book, so I definitely won't finish it this year. Not that I ever actually expected to finish it in 2024 since coloring even 1 page takes such a long time & I knew it would be a lot of work, but I still wondered how much I could do before 2025. I was kinda true to my word since I finished the story before the year ended, but even that's not true either because I'm still doing slight re-writes.

Pretty sure nobody actually expected it to be done before December ended, to those of you that knew about it, but still.
