janiel and the romance of korean grammar?

aight so the thing about korean grammar is that you refer to members of your family (your mom, your dad, your siblings, your dog, your house) with 우리 (uri), which means we/our. so basically it’s like communism. if you’re joy hong you would call jay 우리 오빠 (uri oppa) with the english translation ‘my older brother’ and the literal translation ‘our older brother’. 

it’s the same for husband/wife, you would call ur husband 우리 남편 (uri nampyeon) and your wife 우리 아내 (uri anae), it’s like this bc you share them with your family? so basically yeah communism if you catch my drift. jay is joy’s oppa but he’s also steve hong’s son and kitae’s little brother. he’s part of the family whether you want it or not

this is not the case with boyfriends/girlfriends, because you call them 제 남자 / 여자 친구 (je namja / yeoja chingu), which translates to MY boy/girlfriend. yes. you do not share your bf/gf with your family bc they ain’t a part of it yet. jay has definitely accidentally mentioned daniel to joy at least once as “제 형석이” (my hyungseokie) and joy’s been like oh, he’s YOUR hyungseokie huh.

meanwhile daniel has accepted jay as part of his family (they celebrate chuseok together?? and chuseok is for your family?? i said this on twt already but daniel and jay deliberately spending chuseok together suggests that they consider each other family one way or another, hence on top of jay calling daniel “my hyungseok” i raise you this: 

daniel calling jay “우리 재열이”. OUR jaeyeolie. like they’re family.

or husbands.

We've established that Danny prefers some good spicy soup (Lazarus pit) and space rock candy (kryptonite) so let's make some prompts shall we?

College, R&D-ing ghost equipment for the JL and Ghost King duties are sure to take a toll on someone and that someone is Danny. Sleep deprived and mistaking one of the Watchtower's labs with the kitchen, supposedly human Danny walks out to the meeting room chugging a whole transparent canister of glowing Lazarus water and a handful of bite sized kryptonite yum! Cue horrified looks and gasps from every hero present.

Possible ghost parents for Danny Phantom some with no in show backing. Part A

1) Clockwork, the obvious case. Danny becomes a semi Eldritch being related to either time and space or both. Make him somehow CW's child physically to have fun.

In a DPxDC crossover when the Justice League has to approach CW or Danny for something they just know him as Kronos and his kid!!! Time travel places Danny throughout History as a "Forgotten god"

2) Pandora. Follows my post about Danny being Elpis, the spirit of hope. Pandora is very motherly to Danny but wants to both make him a warrior and keep him her baby.

Non crossover she comes to Amity and is only known as 'the Ghost Lady who once beat up the Box Ghost' untill Phantom calls her Mum, instant local celebrity.

Crossover have Pandora and Diana be sorta cousins, or Pandora is still worshipped as a keeper of hope. JL finds Danny And he refused to say anything untill his Mom is here because "These are the Justice League. They work for the government. The government who enacted the anti-ecto acts." Mama Pandora is very pissed off someone took her baby and Diana ends up kneeling to her before they know why she's here.

"I want my son!"

"Your son?"

"Yes Elpis, Hope, Phantom. Whatever name he's using today. I prefer to keep him out of the mortal world since the US government enacted their horrible little acts." The JL turns to look at Phantom who is sitting in a chair in the corner, maybe partially tied up with the lasso of truth. He waves at them. As they freak out about 'capturing' the spirit of hope, Batman manages to ask the important question.

"What acts?"

3) Frostbite. Ghost doctor for the win. Danny looking semi human but just slightly off accompanied by this 10 foot tall yeti who he calls dad. It's better if Danny has some inhuman traits like claws and fangs.

The entire rest of the clan of Yetis, still treat Danny like a god 'The Great one' for his defeat of Pariah Dark but he's also like their leader/king's weird little kid who also has the power of dimensions. Also maybe the Justice League gets involved because of Doctor Freeze trying to make his way to the far frozen by ripping holes in dimensions.

"Why do you look so human though?" Danny flushes green and looks embarrassed

"I'm only (14,15,16)! Dads hundreds of years older then me!" Really flustered.

"And is that all?"

"I'm technically half-human." He admitted.

The JL doesn't have to think about ghosts just that this is a parallel dimensions of creatures and spirits. Frostbite is 'half yeti, half polar bear" according to cannon (which what the heck??!) And ends up thinking Danny's other parent was a monsterfucker

Continuing previous thoughts on the matter

4) Nocturne

Probably out of character but the connection between Nocturne as sleep and dreams and Danny as Space and therefore night is right there if you look at it.

He also helps Danny save earth in Phantom Planet (which I’m not recognizing as fully canon but gives me an opportunity to say he’s not all bad.)

Trying to put Danny to sleep because that is a baby eldritch abomination, why is no one taking care of him? “Oh baby eldritch can fight!”

Maybe Dani plays the role of granddaughter to him as Danny’s baby.

From the Justice leagues perspective, you get old eldritch abomination capable of putting the world to sleep but doesn’t, baby eldritch abomination who is stronger than elder abomination from their records and is starting to look less human with age, and baby baby who looks 12-14 but according to them is only 1-2 (no explaining that she's a clone.)

Also Nocturne looks like stars! Danny would love that so much.

5) Pariah Dark.

Ghost King is a title and if you defeat the ghost king in single combat you become his/her/their successor. It becomes a family thing, like fighting and winning is a symbol of family. Which yes makes all the rogues that Danny has defeated in single combat technically family to some extent (but like weird cousins and semi adoptive siblings)

When Pariah has the ring of rage off he’s normally a pretty chill dude. Maybe he’s married to Clockwork (one of my personal favorite headcanons.) And he and Clockwork raise him to be their heir. Danny is either okay with it completely or at first a little bit against it but once he gets caught by the Fenton’s he flees to the Zone and Pariah takes him in.

This of course means that no one knows anything about ghost family trees because they are a mess. And if cultists try to summon “The royal family of the Infinite realms (well king but they say royals instead because cults are stupid)” they get Pariah, Clockwork, Danny, Dani, and Jazz (Jazz is liminal because I say so) as well as possibly Tucker (as Pharaoh T. Dullman) Sam (as Nightshade, daughter of undergrowth) and Valerie (new fright knight?) as Danny’s partners (I say Danny is in a poly relationship with all of them, but if you want to write it queerplatonic or just heavily codependent best friends who got married that works too) and maybe Dan (love, hugs, and parol work wonders, so does having a family left over.) All of whom are trying to fit into a single summoning circle.

JL was trying to stop the cult, and got tied up. Now they're watching a family try to not be squished into the boundaries of summoning circles as they bicker.

"WHO DARES SUMMON US?"

"This is wrong, it was supposed to summon the King of the infinite realms?!" Cult member #1 protests.

A lady that looks somewhat similar to Poison Ivy shifts around to look at the runes. Batman seems to hold his breath.

"Yeah these guys are idiots." The people in the circle groan.

"10 bucks its a wording issue" the one dressed like a Pharaoh bets. Wonderwomen looks at him in shock.

"No bet it's always a wording issue." (A tall dark skinned women with blood red armour on)

Flash is the one brave enough (reckless enough) to finally ask.

"Wording issue?" The look over at the members of the League where they are tied up, and the one that seems to shift forms in age face fills with rage. (shit shit shit, that's a bad signs) They turn to the cult

"Sacrifices? Unwilling sacrifices? No. We do not accept." As they glare at the cult members the tall women with red hair floating around her turns to the league (she's just Nightwings type and Superman is grateful just for a minute that he's not here to flirt with the unknown and possible royal supernatural being)

"Yes. Most often when we are summoned together its because they accidentally inscribe royal instead of King in the name slot for a summoning. Since the circle can't guess which royal they would want it grabs the entire High royal family of the infinite realms" she explains it with such a kind smile that it takes both the league and the cultists a few minutes to put together what she said.

6) ALL OF THEM!

Child ghosts are raised communally and multiple ghost have to go into making a single child!

They are all his parents to some extent. Danny uses shapeshifting to look like them sometimes!

Frostbite is his Doctor and his Dad who helps with his ice powers

Pandora is his mom and since he's an embodiment of hope she takes care of him while also training him as a warrior.

Clockwork and Pariah are an old married couple and Pariah as High King named Danny his Heir after he defeats him. Clockworks interference has put Danny all throughout history while the entirety of the supernaturally inclined people know of High Prince Phantom, child of Pariah Dark. Heir of the throne of the dead.

Nocturne is an extra Dad/Mother (I head cannon, gender as a bit off an oopsie is that how I'm perceived?) who takes care of Danny's secondary space obsession and tells him stories of the night while putting him to sleep in the evening.

They all raise him together to some extent but they have individual moments with him.

The JL finds out when Danny is captured by the GIW and suddenly the JLD senses several god level threats on planet that all seem to be headed to one area. They get there just in time to see multiple government facilities go up in flames and a crowd of very much not human being burst from them that seem to be waiting for something (or someone)

Danny is carried out of the flames by Pandora but all of them are standing together. As their son is cradled, damaged but still together in Pandoras 4 arms, they face the Justice League.

The JLD is freaking out before them stand some sort of yeti ice creature that might be fae, the King of the realms of the dead, the embodiment of night and dreams, and 2 gods, and the boy cradled in the arms of the Goddess Pandora, keeper of hope, shares similarities to all of them.

The flames of the buildings seem to freeze behind them as the majority of the Justice League starts to kneel overwhelmed by power before pushing up to continue.

"Hello Justice League," the menacing King Pariah greeted, "Come to see how you've failed?"

So I'm planning on writing a fic inspired by @Rare Pears or [AO3] Fox23's 'Breaking News: Westeros Lord Marries Stranger? What You Read Will Shock You!'

Instead of Sung Jinwoo, I'll be writing about an Eldrich AU Danny Phantom. But i think ill need a little help with the different POVs of Tywin, Kevin, and the Kids. Danny is going to be older than the show with no 'Phantom Planet' happening. He grew tired of living in the mortal world after the last explosion of a reaction he got from his parents when he revealed his secret so he, and his older sister, changed their last name and he moved semi-permanently to the Ghost Zone and ruled as their king while Jazz finished up her last few years of college. Of course, he still visits his sister and friends but other than the few gates allowing his subjects out he rarely visits otherwise. Vlad or Plasmius, a better version that tried a gentler approach at adopting Danny, adopted both siblings legally and became an even better parental figure to them than the Fenton's were. He and Clockwork train and advise Danny on his ever-growing list of powers and how to rule his ghostdom.

Now a decade or so in the future Danny is growing bored with the routine his life has been sticking to lately and in a fot of boredom travels thro one of the many random portals floating through the Zone. Landing in an unkown loacation in the land of Westeros he follows the 'pull' in his chest that leads him to a certain golden-haired lord.

I cant really decided when to drop them at. I don't want to copy @Rare Pears directly but i also want them in a time where Twyin is still young and Joanna is freshly dead or has been dead for no more then a year or two.
