The Teen Titans:
Tumblr media
They win the fight and put the bird in the cage but dear god it should not have been that close
Also I’m just imagining Raven taking a close look at the sigils used to summon the pigeon and very slowly figuring out the exact spells used to try and determine why a pigeon was sent in place of the king. A few days later she wakes up in a cold sweat, realizing exactly how all of those spells would interact with each other, and, more importantly, just who the pigeon is.
By that point, Mr. Violent Beak the pigeon has become somewhat of a team mascot, and is actually quite enjoying himself
DPxDC Prompt #8
Danny was practicing shapeshifting with Amorpho when he felt the tug of a summoning and heard the distant words drifting into his mind.
Normally Danny would just ignore it. Or if it seems like this was a group that needed some sense scared into them, he'd shift into his Horror form and terrify them into never pulling this shit again. But then he heard them mention live sacrifices, and Danny just had to step in before that happened. So he let the summoning pull him on through, briefly forgetting he was shapeshifted into a... less than ideal form.
Danny lands in the circle right on top of one of the intended sacrifices, a group of people in weird outfits and, is that guy green? Irrelevant. Immediately Danny on knows something is very wrong. His powers feel muted and far away. His form suddenly feels, locked somehow.
He casts his gaze across the summoning circle and, to his horror, recognizes the binding ritual. These cultists wanted to bind and seal him in one of these mortal's bodies after they were sacrificed. But they fucked up the spell. Or maybe Danny fucked it up by coming in too soon? Irrelevant again.
What matters is the spell went sideways. Instead of locking Danny into one of the sacrifice's bodies, it locked him into his own form while pulling most of his abilities just out of reach. Now he's here. In the shape of- He's stuck as-
"Dude, is that a pigeon? Did the Ghost King, like, send you to voicemail?"

Somehow, against all odds, every single cultist gets to say
Tumblr media
And afterwords Danny just starts walking away, vaguely in the direction of where Amity Park probably is. Pigeons have homing instincts, so he’s just gonna trust his gut on this one.

It’s been long enough since the last chapter that I feel the need to say that I am not, in fact, abandoning LBM vacation, I’m just in my final year of college and it is kicking my ass
In related news I’m writing a novella about superhero with burnout and you’ll never guess what I accidentally named her

What if he was still physically stronger than them, but he just lacks the technical skills?
The others aren’t technically honing their skills for a fight, much less a physical one, meanwhile Danny hit the ground running towards ghosts he wants to introduce to his fists
Sort of like each of them chose to spec into their specific interests, and become experts/gods of their craft, meanwhile Danny is more of a Jack of trades, so he can pull out some wildly unexpected shit in a fight
The reason he wins in a fight against his friends and siblings is because they’re playing chess and he’s eating the pieces
I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™
Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.
Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.
We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.
And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.
It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?
Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

Ooo I’m gonna make this worse! :D
Let’s say that Harvey had been recovering quite well, and that Two Face was keeping very quiet, just long enough for Harvey to be declared sane, and go back to work. As far as anyone knows— Harvey included— Two Face simply just… doesn’t exist anymore. Sure, he still has the scars, but he’s taken to covering them up during the workday, and has even scheduled plastic surgery. He believes Two Face will simply be a thing of the past
That is, until the case of Fentons v. Bruce Wayne
When he sees the boy’s face, half of which is burnt off in the same places as his own… Harvey blacks out
And Two Face wakes up
Saw a short from YouTube on that animated scene of Harvey getting splashed by acid and there will be no "hear me out" On this one. You will listen.
Court case: Fentons vs Bruce Wayne on who gets to keep Danny after Bruce finds out about the... Things they did to Danny. Fenton's Defense? a ghost is in their son's skin. Clearly bullshit, right?
Well unfortunately the Fenton's didn't think so.
In true Harvey Dent fashion, they splash the kid's face with blood blossoms concentrated water and Bruce gets PTSD 2.0
Bonus if Harvey was somehow the lawyer💀

“… so basically just about everyone in my life has tried to kill me at least once, it’s kinda become my go-to way of making friends, just striking up a conversation with anyone who shoots me. It’s worked with just about all of the rogues in my hometown, including my clone-turned-sister who I had brunch with just last week. Even my parents used to shoot at me, but that was only for like a year or so and in their defense they didn’t actually know it was me, haha. It’s kinda funny, the only person who ever managed to actually kill me was a friend of mine who didn’t technically kill me the first time, and then only did it a second time to fix some rewritten timeline stuff, and I still dated her for a while after that. Oh, speaking of dating, my first girlfriend tried to kill me WHILE we were dating, but again, in her defense, she didn’t know it was me haha. But yeah, that’s kinda why I kept talking to that guy while he was pummeling me, just a bit of a pattern I’ve wound up developing. Anyway, what was the question again?”
“… How did you get in my safe house, and do you need medical attention.”
“Oh! I crashed through the window, and probably. Also, I’m gonna pass out.”
And then Danny passed out.

If Danny’s completely impossible to get a hold of, what would his regular rogues think of the situation?
I think Youngblood would be really upset, since Danny may be strict about what games he’s allowed to play in the living realm, but they’re still playmates! He would immediately rally a group to play pirates all across the seven seas to try and find his friend (and also get away with games that Danny normally wouldn’t allow).
I’d imagine Johnny and Kitty would cause havoc in Amity for like, a day, before going “wait a sec, where’s our favorite buzzkill?” and driving around to different towns to try to find him cause more mayhem. They’re definitely not putting up those “missing teen hero” posters because they’re worried or anything.
Skulker would be pissed. Where the hell is his prey?! Did the kid seriously get chased away by some living people calling him a villain? How the hell is Skulker supposed to hunt him if he can’t find him?!! Fuck it, he’s going up there and making those assholes bring his favorite prey back. (And also, once he finds out how rare some of them are species-wise, probably hunting them too)
The Box Ghost starts a “missing child” milk carton campaign, in which he occasionally pops out of one of the cartons and yells “HAVE YOU SEEN HIM?!” It is a very, very widespread campaign.
Technus hacks into the watchtower and makes a nest in its code.
I'd love to see a dpxdc story where the Justice League knows about Amity Park and the Ghosts the whole time, and does think the ghosts are rogues to be addressed. Doesn't agree with the GIW, maybe doesn't even know about them? THE IMPORTANT PART.
The Red Huntress is the only active vigilante in Amity Park, according to the JL. Phantom is marked as one of her rogues. Maybe the Fentons even are marked as rogues from all the property damages and random shooting/sliming of citizens. Valarie is the only person successfully taking care of the ghosts, masking and suiting up in the classic vigilante way the whole time.

When a true baby ghost is born— a ghost not born of dying, but rather through the desire of another ghost— they are little more than a core with wispy ectoplasm emanating from them for about a month. During said month, they take on influence from their surroundings in order to figure out the form they’ll take, hence why so many young ghosts look like their parents.
Because they aren’t fully formed until a month after their birth, the parent or parents will take on a far more aggressive, primal form in order to protect their child. The parent’s form will become incredibly monstrous, and their size will increase, with triple their normal size being most common among parents. Their mental state also becomes incredibly instinctual, higher intelligence temporarily being replaced by aggression towards anyone the ghost doesn’t consider family. They stay in this state until the baby is fully formed.
Of course, Danny “don’t worry about it” Phantom forgets to add this bit of trivia to his explanation to his fellow heroes as to why he was taking paternity leave. In his defense, he didn’t expect them to visit during that month.
And he definitely didn’t expect his brooding brain to latch onto most everyone who visited as “part of his brood.”

Every time Danny gets a haircut, he sweeps up all the leftover hair into a bag and busts out the spinning wheel
Danny Phantom phandom, I recently learned that human hair can be used for stitches, and if it’s from your own body, your body won’t attack it.
For our beloved vivisection AU’s, we often are using the Fenton Fishing line, as regular stitches thread gets eaten up by Danny’s ectoplasm. But there may be another way…

Danny had been planning this vacation for months, and Ancients did he plan to make the most of it. His friends and parents all agreed to keep Amity safe while he’s gone for the summer, and he had Clockwork to tell him when it was time to portal back home. As he floated towards a natural portal in the ghost zone (because it’s far more fun when the destination is a surprise), he began shifting his form. He had been dealing with so much both as a human and as a ghost. School, fights, teen drama, hunters— but not this summer! This summer, it’s going to be different! He won’t have to worry about human or ghost problems, because this summer, he’s not going to be either! He’s going to be…
A Little Creature™️.
He doesn’t use his “compact” form very often, since it dampens his powers and takes away his ability to talk. But, on this vacation, he won’t need his powers. He can just wander around an unknown dimension, steal some food, sleep in a cardboard box. If he actually needs to be human for something, he can switch back no problem. But honestly? It’s fun being a little guy, even if being a little guy does make him kinda stupid. (He got stuck in a cardboard tube the first time he went into his little form. He was stuck for half an hour. Didn’t even think to phase out of it. As soon as he was pulled out of the tube, he went right back in and got stuck again). Plus, he can stay in this form for an incredibly long time— he doesn’t even switch back when he’s hurt! (Which no, it was not fun to learn that, but good to know)
Shifting into his compact form, Danny slips through the portal and finds himself wading through a big pool of stuff that seems like ectoplasm, but slightly to the left. Like yeah, it’s technically ectoplasm, the same way a carton of milk set out in the sun for three days is technically milk. Not fun to play in, horrible to eat.
As Danny pulls himself out of the gross, bubbling “ectoplasm” pool, shaking himself off, he sees some sort of big fight going down. Bunch of people with swords, some big guy dressed as a bat, some kid dressed as a traffic light. He considers stepping in for a moment, but… no. This is his vacation. Not his dimension, not his problem. Just be a Little Creature™️. He sees a bat-shaped piece of metal at his feet. He knows exactly what a Little Creature™️ would do in this scenario.
He hits it.
Then he hits it again.
Then he hits it again, and again, and again and again and again and he grabs it and bites it and rolls around with it and tail slaps it and bites it and bites it and bites it and bites it and then he almost gets stepped on.
Danny looks up from his toy to see the kid dressed as a traffic light staring down at him. The kid tries to grab the toy away from Danny only to be met by the fierce batting of his little paws. The kid moves his hand close a couple more times, and each time he’s fought off valiantly by Danny’s little paw smacks. He’s not sure why the kid looks like he’s smiling when he’s so clearly losing this battle. The kid gets distracted by the guy in the bat costume calling out to him, and Danny takes this opportunity to continue biting the bat toy, rolling with it and biting it and batting it and biting it and why is he being carried away by the kid.
Danny looks around and sees that the kid is carrying him into a big plane being piloted by the guy in the bat suit. Then he’s shoved under the kid’s cape, and he doesn’t really see too much for a few minutes. He chirps at the kid, and is met with a soft yet quick “shhh!” He waits until he can feel the plane they’re in take off to peek out of the cape and look out the window.
He can see the large pool— though it’s more of a pit, now that he sees the whole thing— that he arrived through, as well as a bunch of people running away from it. Not sure why though, it’s just a bubbling—
Ah.
It blew up.
… Danny hides a bit further in the cape, clutching his bat toy a little tighter. He wound up in a very comfortable position, which made him just… a little sleepy…
Danny woke up wrapped in the cape, held by the kid, surrounded by a shocking number of people all yelling something about a “tiny pet pit demon.”

A sharp pain rips through the back of Danny’s ear, snapping him back to reality.
His vision clears.
His jaw feels wet.
He tastes iron.
He’s holding something.
The something is twitching.
He drops it.
The something is a someone.
He tore into F̸̦̲̋r̷͍̈́ẽ̵̦a̵͖̾͛k̷̙͠s̵̨̈́h̸̤͑̅ó̸̟̙͂w̶̺̓͠— no.
No.
Not Freakshow.
The red he’s seeing isn’t dyed into the suit.
This is… who was this?
Ah, right.
The bad clown.
The mean clown.
He feels something fall off the back of his ear and clatter to the ground. He looks down, and sees a bat-shaped piece of metal at his feet.
His… bat toy.
What… what was he doing?
He was in a cage that he couldn’t phase out of, and he was about to be let out by…
He spots Damian on the floor, arm outstretched like he had thrown something and lost his balance. He’s bleeding.
Because the clown shot him.
Because Danny was too loud.
He starts moving towards Damian, who flinches back.
… oh no.
No, no, it’s ok, it’s ok, he’s not mean or scary, he’s just… he had just….
He whimpers, and folds in on himself, ashamed of what he’s done. He didn’t mean to be scary. Just wanted to help. To protect. He’s small again, see? All safe. All good. No threat, no scary. Just a little guy.
He waddles over to his bat toy, and starts dragging it towards Damian, who has started to lean towards Danny a little. It’s ok, see? Same little guy. Not scary, no more big, no more surprises.
A portal opens below Danny and he falls into the ghost zone.
———————————————
Over the past few days, Clockwork has discovered many things.  He’s found that there are many things that even he cannot predict, that people will act in unexpected ways, and that he can get stomach ulcers from stress despite having no physical body. Most importantly, however, he’s discovered that, despite intentionally detaching himself from any and all inhabitants of the timeline, he just so happens to view Danny the way one would view their own child.
Clockwork holds the tiny, wiggling body of the ghost boy that he— entirely against his will— cares very deeply about, and he knows for a fact that he will never ever let him do anything so blatantly stupid ever again for as long as his afterlife persists. He oh so desperately wishes this revelation came at least a week prior to this moment, but as tempting as it is to change the past, he knows better than to meddle in such a way.
He will simply meddle in the mature and parental way. Danny will have quite a few days to reflect on his actions before that dimensions heroes utilize the “contact info” he left in Danny’s place. After all, Danny had caused quite a stir in that dimension. A responsible guardian must teach their child to take responsibility for their actions.

If he was brought in as Fenton and not Phantom, he either has to transform without getting caught (which is hard, considering most of the others summoned would pay incredibly close attention to the civilian teenager that was brought into a literal death match, and will DEFINITELY notice if said teen goes missing and gets replaced by a dead teen) or he has to fight them as a human
Luckily, his mom trained him in hand to hand combat, and he can use some of his powers in his human form, such as enhanced strength
Unluckily, he’s running on 3 seconds of sleep and an unheard prayer, and frequently forgets that he’s so skinny he’s practically nothing but bones, and therefore shouldn’t be able to throw ANYONE clear across the room, let alone people twice his size
Hey, does anyone remember that one episode of the OG teen titans where it was that contest of champions or whatever? Becuase...
"Welcome, champions all! I am the Master of Games, and you are hereby invited to compete in the Tournament of the Strongest! Each of you have been specially chosen as the smartest and strongest each species has to offer."
"Hey, isn't that a fourteen-year-old?"

I raise you: Danny Fenton has been noted as teaching completely different subjects in completely different cites at the exact same time
In the same afternoon, around 1 pm, he was teaching literature in Metropolis, chemistry in Gotham, physics in Central City, gym in Star City, and math in Fawcett while also being spotted in a fast food joint in a small town in Illinois.
Short DPXDC Prompts #990
Danny works as a substitute teacher. It’s odd. Sometimes he teaches at Gotham High, or Central City High, Metropolis High, or even Fawcett Central. How does this guy manage to teach classes in completely different parts of the US like it’s no big deal?! What?!
