Radioactive Sans / Radio Sans

Set in a post-apocalyptic world (see Fallout)

Causes radiation poisoning to MOST alive creatures that get near them which leads to them being very touch starved.

Very lonely.

Can NOT stand silence.

Talks to themself a lot. Not just because of loneliness or because they can't stand silence. It's also a natural thing to them.

Healed by radiation and can withstand high levels of rads.

Despite this, they're not fully immune to radiation. With higher radiation levels, they might act more impulsive (going feral) which means they constantly have to have Radaway on their hands which means they need a little bit of some supply runs.

Green, white, brown - muted colors but also can have bright green like radiation - maybe some yellow???

Dirty, often covered in dirt and grime.

Clothes are slightly burned and torn.

Smells earthy and woody (leaves, pine, dirt, leather, etc.).

Called Radio or Rad.

Has a (fairly popular in the wasteland) radio station that they run by themself.

Any alignment but probably more leaning towards chaotic or, at best, neutral.

Eyes are either FULLY green or just the eyelights like regular skeletons.

Speaking of which, they slightly glow green. Not much, considering they're a skeleton, but it's still fairly noticeable? Obviously much more noticeable in the dark.

Ghouls

Very "jack-of-trades" type thanks to surviving by themself for so long.

Fiercely independent thanks to being forced to depend on themself.

They have their own farm where they run their radio station.

Pre-bomb era.

More active than Classic! Sans, but lazier than, for example, Swap! Sans. Overall, depends on the day. Sometimes they can barely get out of bed.

Senses are all wack thanks to prolonged exposure to radiation, but their eyesight is surprisingly decent still.

Forgets to take care of themself a lot.

Their soul is slightly melty thanks to, once again, prolonged exposure to radiation.

Speaking of which: their soul, thankfully, is not AS MESSED UP AS most other monsters were. In this AU, monsters are weaker to radiation thanks to their souls being generally weaker than humans. This led to a lot more monsters dying from the radiation because they can't turn into ghouls like humans.

Monsters were released from the Underground BEFORE the bombs fell. They were very discriminated against for a while.

So man, this can go a few ways… None of which are probably good lol

Let’s say you’re close to Nightmare before stuff hits the fan. Well, as close as you can get to him…

He’s kinda emotionally constipated, but we love him (kinda)

Nightmare, if he actually gives a damn about you, probably would be… let’s just say “reluctant” to have you around his newly corrupted brother.

He trusted him even less now tbh

BUT

I mean, at least he’s not suspiciously nice anymore??? /j

So, man’s crazy x2 so both of them are kinda trying to manipulate you in order to “see their side”

Basically, they’re fighting over you. One as a romantic interest and the other as platonic… probably.

But basically, neither are exactly “right”

You were doing a pretty good job at trying to stay away from Shattered!Dream until, one day, he managed to corner you when you were really sleepy

“Oh, poor thing. Aren’t you tired of mercilessly working for that…. Imbecile brother of mine? Come here, rest your head.” Shattered cooed at you from the other end of the room, watching you stumble your way into your house after a particularly rough mission. How did he even get in here? You were too tired to care. You shuffled over to him and slumped down at his feet, resting your head in his lap. He places his hand on your head, tenderly stroking your hair and murmuring sweet nothings. 

So naturally, you were like “whaT THE FU-”

Nah, you totally didn’t suspect anything. I mean, how different could Shattered!Dream be from his old self? (very different, as you’d come to find out)

You hadn’t slept in literal days, you’d just come back from one of Nightmare’s missions, things got messy in that mission, “your husband is dead, we found him with no head” type shenanigans. 

(… the frick did I just say???? ADHD brain is wack as frick, don’t do vegetables, kids)

Your brain was confused and static-y (is that a neurodivergent thing???) and you were just done by that point

You were kinda not too trusting of him, buuuuut… his lap was comfortable, what else can I say, Your Honor?

(I was just in a silly goofy kinda mood, so I fell asleep on my mortal enemy’s lap)

His voice was relaxing, his lap cozy, the mood just right, and you were exhausted beyond belief

So what did you do?

You fell asleep

When you woke up (like 16 hours later, thanks to exhaustion) you found that you were in your bed.

You, not knowing wtf just happened, are confused, of course.

Was that all a Dream? Well, Dream was involved but NO, IT WAS NOT A DREAM

Mi cielito?? Depending on if you know Spanish, you may be a little confused. Means “my little sky”... what can I say, he’s a sucker for Moon, Sun, Stars, Sky, etc. motifs

he's so he/they/it to me. So demiboy to me.

he's a semi-nonverbal autistic!! He only talks when he feels comfortable enough with the situation or people around him, so usually when he's fighting he's quiet :3

he can be a tactile guy but only if he initiates the contact first. He'll lay on you, head on your shoulder, on your lap, hell, just lay his entire body over the top of you. He finds it comforting.

If he doesn't initiate the contact? It sends him into fight or flight. He'll practically fling you around the room. Depending on who you are he might apologize after, but his trauma is way too ingrained to overcome that easy.

speaking of trauma! This skele-man practically reeks of the stuff. He's near constantly on edge, guard up, especially around humans he hasn't established as not a threat (that takes a lot) and weapons.

Habits wise? Smoker, all the way. Even if he's a skeleton and he can't really feel the affects too much, it helps him calm down. It's routine, almost.

training. this man is in tip-top shape for fighting, constantly. Out of his gang he is by far the one who trains the most. He won't let himself be caught of guard ever again.

he has a habit of not sleeping, too. He'll just… sit up and wait and watch. If he falls asleep near you, it either means he really really trusts you, or he physically can't go without it any longer.
