Hopefully not too gauche to post that I'm looking for ARC readers for my queer Canadian new adult romance.

It's listed on BookSprout as Mature due to a single sex scene, and I think that's making it harder to find ARC readers. Is it any good? I don't know. But I enjoyed writing it.

I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful photo. At our recent larp photoshoot, Lisa and I got some photos of our characters, Edraith and Winter, who are married... sorta. The validity of the ceremony was questionable. But we got some truly beautiful photos of them thanks to @micaev

Me being witty and charming because I learned all my dialogue options from The Princess Bride: *yapping*

Him: so you wanna get out of here?

Me: Why? I'm having fun?

Him: We could go have ✨️fun✨️ elsewhere.

Me, realizing what has happened: oh. no. We don't do that here.

Historically I've sold a cosplay calendar to help fund my photoshoots for the upcoming year and keep perpetually making content. 13 shoots per year, minimum to fill the calendar.

But it's September and I've realized I've only done 4 shoots this year. I have at least 3 more lined up, but I think this may be the first year in awhile that I haven't released one.

Between larp, buying a house, and my spiraling mental health I just haven't had the time/will to do anything. Even things I love, like cosplaying.

Growing up and having to pick and choose what activities can take my dwindling energy is hard.

We didn't have chores as a punishment, but I did get sent to my room so much that I just stopped leaving my room to avoid anyone yelling at me.

Now I have my own house and spend so little time in my room. It's amazing what having your own space can do for healing your mental health.

I can sleep anywhere except my bed, but that's probably more of the audhd than the bedroom being a punishment.

for the love of god, do not use chores to punish your kids!!!! it's just going to make them struggle deeply to keep their houses tidy as adults since you made them associate necessary chores with punishment and suffering, and it's going to take years of therapy to undo. don't use chores as punishments!!!

I don't know how gauche it might be, but I 3D printed my own doll because I couldn't afford to buy one from a big doll maker.

This morning, my partner gave me little antlers they printed for my doll to wear sometimes. I love them.
