Introducing Plasma-Crawlers! A subspecies of ghost that freaks everybody out. [yes, some inspo from Fresno Nightcrawlers.]

Imagine you’re under attack, and in order to escape you peel your skin off like removing the crust from a toasted marshmallow.

As a self-defense mechanism, these weirdos are able to “shed” an outer layer in tense situations to avoid capture. The drawback? What remains on the inside is a goopy little creature with legs. Luckily most Plasma-crawlers have come to accept their lot in life and are willing to trade flight for an extra defense against being gobbled. Their outer sheet does grow back naturally, but most will visit a regeneration chamber or otherwise anyway; quicker, less gross.

TLDR; Cake’s little legs and ability to walk are genetic- from her bio-dad’s side [Manny.]

(Panko has enough regular ghost-genes that the condition isn’t apparent, and the legs are more vestigial than anything.)
