TODAY, August 12, 2024, The Animation Guild begins negotiations with the AMPTP to win a new contract for animation. This is a huge fight with severe stakes for the future of the Animation Industry in the US, and the guild needs your support!

TAG is fighting, Right Now, to stop exploitative practices that are weaponized against animation professionals across the globe, and working hard to ensure this industry has a future here in the states.

Last Month my dad was told he's autistic, my mom was worried he'd have a mental breakdown or like a later-in-life crisis, instead my dad sat in our truck outside the house on the phone with my uncle arguing that if HE'S AUTISTIC THAN IN NO WAY IN HELL HIS BROTHER ISNT AUTISTIC (now this isn't a bad thing, my dad was pointing out familiar symptoms of "classic" autistic behavior that he noticed over the years with my uncle, including collecting old baseball cards of players from the Atlanta braves between the years 1980-1999) when he was done he came inside, asked to go upstairs into the attic for a while, my mom said yes to give him space, 20 minutes later he came back with a box of his old model cars, (from 1963-1981, all convertibles or old ford trucks in colors baby blue- ruby red) and played with them outside in the driveway.

My dad is turning 50, and I've never seen him more relieved and happy.

(This is all true, and my dad is now atm playing on my Nintendo Switch, enjoying life, just wanted to share with tumblr)
