My urges aren't whispers in my ears or muffled voices In my head. They're loud and clear, like that one loud friend in the group you're secretly in love with. They scream, party, and show up before everyone else. My first thought in the morning that I entertain, replying to their message and indulging in their behaviors. In public I pretend to ignore them, standing quietly next to them like a mom ashamed of their chaotic toddler. Oh, but nobody sees the hearts I send them at night. The way I crumble to their feet when I smell that potent perfume or get sight of that red dress. My urges are a seductive woman in a tight red dress, spritzed with iron perfume; and man am I a sucker for deep crimson.
