Nintendo’s Rumoured next-generation, OLED Switch could arrive in September in time for the holiday season. It may reveal the upgraded console ahead of the E3 conference starting June 12th and begin manufacturing it in July.
News first surfaced about an upgraded Switch as far back as 2018, with the rumor being that Nintendo would swap out the LCD display for an OLED model. The latest leaks point to a “Pro Switch” ( said to use more powerful silicon from Nvidia ) with a 7-inch 720p OLED screen and NVIDIA Tegra graphics with DLSS that will allow it to output 4K to a TV.

Amazon buys MGM for $8.45 billion, as they have reached a deal to acquire the film and TV company MGM (METRO GOLDWYN MAYER). It’s a significant acquisition for the e-commerce giant and that means it will own a library of content that’s reported to consist of around 17,000 hours of TV and 4,000 films. The acquisition is likely to help Amazon attract even more big-spending Prime subscribers as its Prime Video service competes with the likes of Netflix and Disney
MGM is perhaps most notable for being the Hollywood studio behind the James Bond and Rocky franchises, but its library runs the gamut from classic films like 12 Angry Men to modern TV shows like The Handmaid’s Tale and Vikings. MGM’s library also includes unscripted TV shows like The Voice and Shark Tank. Amazon says the acquisition will “provide customers with greater access” to MGM’s works and “empower” the studio to continue its “great storytelling.”

Mac OS update patches a security flaw that allows hackers to secretly take screenshots of your Mac. The malware XCSSET was first uncovered last year by security researchers at Trend Micro. Using this malware, Hackers would target Mac developers and infect those apps at the source. Unaware that their code had been compromised, developers would then distribute the app to users, infecting them with malware in the process.

Social media giants like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Instagram may face a ban in India if they fail to comply with the new Social media platform intermediary guidelines. The guideline was rolled out on February 2021 wherein a three-month deadline given by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEITy). The deadlines to accept these guidelines ends today i.e. May 25th, 2021. But none of the giants have so far accepted the new regulations. The rules will be effective from tomorrow despite these companies seeking a total six-month delay in their implementation. This has led to several questioning whether there can be an Instagram, Facebook or Twitter ban in India.
Homegrown social media platform Koo, which is the Indian version of Twitter, is the only platform which so far accepted the Centre’s intermediary guidelines.

Now Google Password Protect Your Search History For Devices You Share. Google has added a way to put a password on your Web and Activity page, which shows all your activity from across Google services, including your searches, YouTube watch history, and Google assistant queries (via Android Police). Without the verification, anyone who picks up a device you’re logged into could see that activity.
Whether you’re aware of it or not, Google, by default, likes to track down your activity log as you use its smart home devices, a device running Android, or even if you use any of its popular services like Chrome or YouTube. It’s cumbersome to steer clear of all this tracking without changing the way you use these services, so it’s perhaps easier to ensure all this logged data is secure.

It has recently come to light that the controversial WhatsApp’s privacy policy has reportedly extended the deadline in select regions till June 19, 2021. WhatsApp had earlier asked users to accept the new privacy policy by February 8, after which the date was further delayed to May 15.Now according to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is announcing a new date for some users, probably living in specific countries like Germany and Argentina (it’s not confirmed yet but it’s really possible), where the government has suspended the updated Terms of Service: June 19, 2021. Within the given date, some WhatsApp users on Android and iOS will have to accept the terms if they want to continue using WhatsApp without any limitation.

Apple dives a little deeper into the details around the upcoming launch of Apple Homepod, Mini to support lossless audio via software update on Apple Music. Apple Music will launch support for Dolby Atmos and lossless audio with iOS 14.6 whenever that’s due to arrive in June. but a large chunk of users isn’t happy about the fact that none of the AirPods devices will support hi-res audio playback. But, that’s not to suggest that none of Apple’s existing audio products will support it.
Apple now says that both the HomePod and HomePod Mini will support lossless audio after a future software update. That’ll be good news to people who’ve invested in one or a pair of Apple’s smart speakers. Two HomePods grouped in stereo playing a lossless source? Yeah, that’s going to sound wonderful.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition received a minor patch on Friday that quietly added support for the DualSense’s fancy adaptive triggers and haptic feedback and it is the first PC game to fully support the PS5 DualSense pad taking advantage of all the neat next-gen features found inside the controller.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports of Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition will be out next month on June 18. I’d assume the fancy PS5 trigger action now available in the PC version is a preview of what players on Sony’s next-gen console can expect when they boot up the game and start shooting stuff.
