My first attempt at writing flash fiction, any advice is greatly appreciated!!

The marigold couple.

The note said "Good luck trying to prove it's not you, bitch."

The judge, a scrawny man with a balding head and glasses sitting on his crooked nose examined the piece of paper.

"Missis Marigold, this, I'm afraid does not suffice to prove your innocence on account of murder of Matthew Marigold as the evidence is much too easily fabricated. But that is all for today the hearing will proceed tomorrow at noon."

Jane Marigold was sitting in her lawyer's office.

"Jane, think! There just has to be something we missed. There's no way that idiot of a man managed to stage it, blood, dissapearence and all and not leave anything that could prove your innocence."

After a few minutes of silence Jane said.

"What about..

Next day in court Jane appeard with reciepts. Literal reciepts. One from the drugstore and one from the bank.

That idiot of a man indeed slipped up. A week prior he bought a syringe, and also cashed out nearly half of their joint account and now the money are nowhere to be found.

As the hearing ended she walked out as free woman. Albeit with husband proclaimed missing.

After a celebratory dinner at a nice restaurant her layewr warned her "it's very nice, but be careful as we don't know where exactly Matthew went. He could try to harm you hinself after his plan didnt work".

"Thank you, I will be as careful as possible"

And of course she will, after all, we wouldn't want anyone to figure out what serves as a fertiliser in her pretty flower garden, would we?

Guys, I'm TIRED of people who need the author to straight up tell the feelings of characters. Like wdym you can't see how much those two characters adore eachother so much that it hurts?? "But they're not cannon" stfu and just look at hpw they interact with each other, PLEASE.
