This reminds me of the one time I was 15 and read a really good fic on AO3, it was several 100k long and had adult themes and really good writing and I left a comment that was like „you should be a professional writer“ and the author responded and was like „I am a professional writer 😉“. I could have died of embarrassment, but it taught me the valuable lesson that people who write good fics are typically (exceptions apply) not the 15 year olds and are instead fully grown adults who have been reading and writing for ages. And it also taught me not to assume everyone online is like me.

my favorite thing about navigating fanfiction is finding a really good one and being all “oh boy this was good, I hope they have more!” and literally every other story they’ve ever written was for like Miami Vice

Holy shit that was you???? I found this image on DeviantArt in 2016 I think and used it as a phone background for a while. I was also 16 and still drawing more traditionally, here‘s an image of my bedroom wall where I made a charcoal drawing of a part of this image.

Wild, I didn‘t even realize that I also followed you on DeviantArt back then. It was a inspiring image then and it still is now!

I painted this 12 years ago but it is more relevant than ever today.

My fics aren‘t worldchanging and not that popular. But I am still immensely proud to have two absolute rarepairs in my portfolio, one where I have 1/5 fics, and another where I have 3/8. And also I am weirdly proud to have written Jaime/Robb before astolat jumped in on it.

first rule of being a rare pair shipper is find a freak or three who can be convinced to enjoy the rare pair as much as you do. second rule is feed each other's insanity

Also, if I recall correctly, Laura and Max go missing/get attacked in June. Camp starts the next day. Then the events of the game are in August. So there was definitely a full moon in between WHILE EVERYONE WAS AT CAMP (the night Laura gets her eye scratched out). Why couldn‘t Chris and Kids do whatever they did on that night when the councillors were forced to stay another night? How do they not have a better system for locking themselves in on full moons? They‘ve had over 50 moons to practice…

But also: who turned Silas? And what was the point of his attraction? For 96.3% of the time he‘s just a dude.

I just finished The Quarry and the only thing I can think about is WHY WOULD THE HACKETTS ONLY HUNT SILAS ON FULL MOON???!!! I get that they need to kill him on full moon, but they could just… find him, lock him up, wait for full moon and shoot him, no? Why fight him as a werewolf when you could just ambush him when he‘s just a dude?

(On that note, they also could have let the camp run with like… a DAY OR TWO OF BUFFER BETWEEN KIDS AND FULL MOON)

Me when I see a post about people not liking Andor and then using all my self control not to interact to fangirl about it and instead let them have their own rant post. But oh boy. Like I get Andor is more serious than other Star Wars and much less flamboyant. That‘s because other SW is about magical force wizards while Andor is about desperate resistance against a fascist regime.

If you don’t like shows that have a serious tone that‘s fine. But by the force am I happy Andor exists. I grew up with Star Wars my whole life and now I‘m an adult who is getting increasingly frustrated with a) so much SW being tailored to kids, b) them rewriting the rules of the universe and c) just bad writing in general (couldn‘t make it through more than 10 min of acolyte because the dialog was so fucking bad). And Andor is such a breath of fresh air, a perfect example of what Star Wars could be if we let it. And that doesn‘t mean I don’t want the dramatic magical space wizards anymore, it just means I want fleshed out characters, good dialogue, a solid plot, intrigue, morally grey characters, dilemmas…

E.g. give me The Old Republic, where we can have Sith scheming over each other and stabbing each other in the back, while we have Jedi out there helping people and then non-force users to show us how strange Jedi and Sith are to normal people. Just… make it good please, and use the legends stuff that‘s good ffs, instead of coming up with worse versions. (I‘m still bitter about the Thrawn trilogy, but alas…)

First Post!

I deleted my old tumblr because... man idk why it was covid-times and the prefrontal cortex was not in the room with us!! Anyways, I was reminded by my lovely friend @repecca that tumblr exists, and that some of my work has been going around on here, so I decided to post some of my work up officially! Starting off with my most notable (?) work to date, here's my LOTR: The Middle Kingdom Project. Now, it's been over a year since I posted this, and at the time I was... really searchingfor myself artistically, and I decided to go all in on something that I'd been ruminating on for a long time.

I just spend two hours trying on jeans. Does anyone have tips on where/how to find skinny jeans (or literally just any jeans) for athletic women? Apparently I have too much thigh and butt but a skinny waist. All jeans, even the one I ended up buying, scoot down my butt when I squat if I even manage to find one that fits my waist. Most are either too tight on the legs and hip or too loose around the waist.

I went to three different stores and tried about 20 pairs of jeans and the one I bought is pretty enough that I overlook that the fit is only acceptable. I JUST WANT A PAIR OF JEANS THAT FITS ME 😫

Oh I have a WIP that is this EXACTLY. It is so delicious I love reading this dynamic. But it's so emotionally exhausting to write.

Sorry, sorry, but manipulative hurt/comfort is fucking cocaine to me. The predatory aspect of it. The vulnerability—500% better if the hurt party knows they're being manipulated and is past the point of caring. The juxtaposition of sweet and sharp flavours. Barkbarkbark

I have to say, Evil Competent ISB Lady and OCD Imperial being in a relationship was not on my Andor Season 2 bingo card, but they‘re weirdly compatible. The stiffest, most OCD couple ever, but if it works for them…
