Cartoonish moment of the day

My mom and my brother were screaming about fraction divisions five minutes ago while she was helping him study for his math exam. Now they're deadly quiet and watching a YouTube tutorial on the phone

a dog barks from my back neighbor's house. the dog of my front neighbors hears it smhw, and barks back. now they're barking at each other through my house and they won't shut up and i can't sleep. it's midnight.

A lot of times (not all the times) this is also bc of the lack of a good and well developed female character in media. Like, there ARE really well constructed and three dimensional female characters. But there's been too many times where I obsess over smth and then realize there are like 3 non background girls in there and two of them are completely plain with no actual personality and/or fall into some kind of annoying female character clique (manic pixie dream girl, Mary Sue, or a girly girl whose only personality trait is liking men). And most people, myself included sometimes, end up getting drawn at the male characters that actually have some depth or idk a ROLE in the story and obsessing over them, never really bothering to make a personality (even a fanmade one) out of the girls. But idk that's what I think

i dont really know how to articulate this but its crazy just how many people dont even realize they dont care about female characters. all their faves are men. they never talk about girls without being led into it. and when you try to point this out to them they try to defend themselves that their faves are just the archetypes they like, despite clearly not caring when that same archetype is a woman. like i feel like at a certain point it is your problem with the common denominator if you cant find a single female character to enjoy

asked him today at the lunch line and he literally laughed and called it a "toxic relationship divorce" and the guy in the store heard it and said that one guy was an 80 yr old kid throwing a tantrum. They laughed about for like 5 minutes straight no joke.
