Waking Up. Part One

Slumber stopped knocking on the door of my room

I woke up within an hour of falling asleep,

An hour opened my eyes

that had been shut down by thunderstorms

For five years.

I didn't have the time to love someone,

Falling in love is slower than falling

Head over heels into the pits of bodies.

Love melts into the shape of lines drawn on the edge

Of black fingernails that have dug dirt out of them.

I love how Love whispered in my ear now,

so many days after meeting her,

She has made me nervous, silent, bashful, violent

and kept me sane when the world started crumbling

after a thousand suns met and burst.

Sometimes my heart feels so full

I could cry myself to sleep and wake up with

Eyes wet like the advent of Ashadh.

She was not my shipwreck faced by changing winds,

She is the salty, serene wisdom of colonial harbours.

After years of standing on the doors of Villainous Time,

Asking for some drops to spend on love,

I finally fell into this new Earth that I can live on

Where I have her, atleast when I daydream,

And I can wait another fiveling years, five thousand miles.

Only she has made me face myself,

And I finally know how drunk I can be.

I Lose and find myself whenever she's around,

She's so lovely, like the beaches where I had spent my best days

She is everything, and she doesn't know half of it.

Delaware

I was talking to my cat on the therapist's chair

A quick sound arose, a letter from Delaware.

Written by a friend I had not seen in years,

In the mailbox, the pathway to allay my fears.

The scented primrose shell, wooden furniture spells

An unforeseen letter, where she hoped to find me well.

White napalm walls, straight from Bolivian beaches

Looking for someone to kill, the letter somehow reaches.

My cat seemed curious of the unknown assailant's mail,

And she stretched herself, the master of the sail,

Bit my hand and tore away the envelope with its bearing

And my therapist hated all the paper she had been tearing.

The letter from Delaware gets lost in the shrink 's room

With the stamps flying away in air to upend the doom,

Realistically, I don't regret not reading the letter ever,

As in my heart, my friend's face is lost forever.

What does she want from my pigeonhole now?

Her cat is here with me, with her signature frown

And my heart is with her, somewhere in Ohio's madness

The letter from Delaware is lost somewhere in our sadness.
