Welcome To SteelWater
When the last Czar of Roland was overthrown, a new government was put in place, one that would wipe away the black stain of the final Czar. It was a republic, where everyone had a voice. Something that most of the citizens of Roland had never experienced before. However, this dream of equality was squashed by the bad blood of the past. Corruption, hate, and fear held the nation back from growth. And to add to the frustrations of the many, magic that had been the lifeblood of the nation was slowly disappearing as technology started to "come into the picture."
Eighty years later, stability has settled across the nation. The once-closed borders are now open for trade, with slave trade no longer celebrated as before. A new pride and hunger for knowledge push the nation forward, advancing past most other nations in the world of Caledonia. Despite the peaceful exterior, darkness boils under the surface. Mages and other lower-class citizens rally for equality, there is infighting in the government, and an unknown terrorist group has recently issued grave threats. The air is thick with tension, but is there still hope for the nation of Roland?
