I have to wash my hands five separate times. Once counting to twenty on each hand. Once counting to a hundred. Then again to a hundred. Then again to a hundred. Then again to a hundred. Because only then will the germs be gone. I have to shake my head and shout NO out loud as many times as it takes to feel like I really mean it. Because otherwise something bad will happen to me. I cannot do anything at the thirteenth minute, or on the thirteenth day because that is bad luck, and I have had enough of that. I have to wash things over and over again until I’m convinced that they’re clean, Because you never know what could happen if you wear a pair of dirty jeans. I have to check the door twenty two times. Then twenty two times again. Then again. And again. And again. Because I am convinced that the twenty first time I checked it twenty two times just wasn’t enough. I have to do all of these things. I have to. I have to. I have to.

Misa Minnie the yorkie here is like a tiny magician, executing the most adorable (albeit predictable) tricks that will make you squeal with joy. What good is a life lived if it made no difference at all to the great life of the world? A sadder thing i cannot imagine. Why should not a mother say to herself, if i raise this child aright, if i love and care for her, she shall live a life that brings joy to those about her, and thus i have changed the world?
