Long Due Update

Hello Everyone,

I’ve had a tough 2023, as said in my previous update my kitten became severely ill. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to survive. I was very focused on getting into a better mental and financial state before moving forward with this project.

I’m happy to say that I’m moving ahead with the project and will be contacting artists and writers this week.

Thank you so much for your patience, I’m looking forward to bringing this project together!

Sorry for the delay

Recently our kitten became severely ill. Our finances have taken a hit because of this.

I do not want to sign people onto the anthology until I can be certain the initial artist payment is secured. I’ll keep everyone updated.

After you've made your final decisions for the anthology, will you let everyone, even the rejected pieces, know their status for sure? Asking because I submitted a story, but I didn't get any acknowledgment of receipt of submission. At this point, I don't know if the wall of silence is a low-key rejection or that you never got the story in the first place.

Yes, I'll be emailing everyone whether they got in or not. I'll do this once I've made my final decisions (I'm getting close to deciding now).

I’m working away at reading and reviewing. There were some delays because of things in my personal life. I’ll be delaying sending out any rejections or acceptance responses until the holiday season is over.

So I submitted a short story almost a week ago, how soon do we hear back if a story made the cut?

I don't start reading until the deadline, so when you submitted won't have a difference. I will send out acceptances and rejections at the same time, which I'm hoping to do before the holidays.

Hello! I identify as aegosexual- while I have feelings of attraction I would rather have platonic relationships in my love life and cook for people. Would it be okay if I submitted?

Since payment for the anthology is in CAD, does that mean that you can only submit if you’re in Canada? Thank you in advance.

It is open to international applicants, the payment is just in canadian dollars.
