Does anyone just read old posts and cringe reading every word, that’s me rn and Oml.

Pls ignore all past posts, I wrote all of them at like 3 am.

This was a waste of time but just adding an update. prob won’t continue cafe dates mostly because of how disgusted I am after reading them after a few months of not being on tumbler. If I improve more with my writing I might try starting all over with the same story idea just less weird Ig, idk how else I should fraise that.

But overall I’m just giving a quick update at the worst time, because that’s the only time I’m ever on tumbler anyway.

Hi, Ik I haven’t updated my cafe dates series’s in a while but I’m going to finish up chapter four soon and try to start on five after. I lost motivation in this project even though I love being able to write about my own characters I got burnt out with school work for a long time. Can’t wait to write more of this series:)

Cafe Dates chapter 3

[Classes were so boring today. I’m really excited to see Freya though.]

[This cafe is just as cute as I remember, I hope Frey gets here soon. It’s already 11:08.]

“Hey cutie sorry I’m late, class went on longer than normal. How was class?

“Class was okay. We are finishing a chapter in chem. What did you want to ask?

“Let’s order our food first then I will ask you, it’s a big question to ask.”

“Hi, what would you like to order?”

“An iced matcha latte with sweet foam would be lovely.” She says confidently.

“And for you?”

“Uhm, sweet tea sounds good.”

“Ok I will get that to you in just a few moments. Name?”

“Thank you! My name's Freya," She says kindly.

“Let's go sit down, cutie.”

“S-sure, frey.”

“That looks like a nice booth, we can sit there. I want you to be comfy when I ask you this, Riley.” She says nervously.

“Order for Freya!.”

“I will go get that be right back, cutie.”

“Uhm ok, Frey.”

[She seems off, maybe she had a hard day, or her question is bothering her.]

“Hey sorry I’m back, here's your drink cutie.” She says.

“Thanks Frey, If you don't mind, could ask you a question too.”

“Of course, what do you need Riley?”

“Are you okay Freya, you seem uneasy ever since you got back from class.”

“I am good, cutie don’t worry about me. The question I wanna ask is pretty important and it's a lot for me to ask you something like this so early in our friendship. I just don’t want to be a burden to you.” She says worriedly.

“You could never be a burden to me, Frey whatever you need I will provide you with. Don’t worry about that ever, Okay?”

“Okay thanks cutie, I wanted to ask if I could move into your dorm and well, be your roommate. My dorm room flooded and my old roommate already has a new dor, and right now im staying with my parents and-”

“I would love to be your roommate Frey. It will take time to move you because we will have to check in with the dorm staff and move you in, but after our last class if you want we can start to move some of your stuff to my room until we can officially move you into my dorm.”

“Really!?” She asks ecstatically.

“Of course, Frey.”

How do you write a story that people will read and feel happy after doing so?

Now, to tackle your question, I think it's a loaded question. I think writing for *yourself* and writing stories *you* want and are invested in is the key.

I've written stories a 100 people have read and stories 50k have read. But to me, the numbers don't matter. What matters is that I'm enjoying what I'm writing.

When I sit down to write something I want to write and I'm doing so by my own accord. I just let the words flow. I make facial expressions, use "define" on Google docs, bullet list my ideas, and just write.

My works are far from perfect, and I'm always looking for ways to improve. I have my own authors I follow that leave me with chills, and I strive to write like them.

So I think it's important to know that things are built and developed with time. Skills take time to evolve. Looking at my 2016 writing makes me want to cry, but we all have to start somewhere.

So, well, this might not be 10/10 advice. Just write something you want to write. Don't focus on the number or notes. It's tempting, and while they can be great motivators, they can be very hindering if a fic flops or doesn't meet a personal expectation.

Writing from personal desire and interest makes the fic feel more alive. The reader can feel the passion and see the excitement.

I don't have many tips since I've been writing stories since I was a kid, so I already had a slight skill developed when I started posting.

But acknowledge where you can improve, don't beat yourself up over "low" notes and write what you want! The right people will love your writing style and what you produce as an author <3

My name is Jamie and I enjoy writing as-well as making art wether that’s sculpting, drawing, painting, and making jewelry. I love trying out new things and writing helps me express that joy.

I write original stories based on real life or just off the top of my head. I like to drag on the ending of stories when their in different parts or chapters. I can’t write fan fics without them looking like a two y/o wrote it, so not my choice of writing. I will recommend fics from time to time.

Any questions or suggestions that aren’t considered offensive towards a majority of people I would love to answer them. And recommendations for my stories I’m writing or ones I should write are welcome I love writing new things and I love writing what I write now.

Prompts are probably the most helpful thing for me while writing, they help me stay on topic with the story and not all over the place.

Ik people don’t read my cafe dates series but I would like to be able to answer basic questions about them like age, major, gender/sexuality, pasts, what I plan for this story, and friends of my he characters.

By the time I get chapter 5 out I will be answering these questions no one asked about. I also need time to figure out the answers to these questions so if a random person would like to suggest and answer to these I would likely use the idea.

Cafe Dates chapter 2

(Alarm goes off) “Ughhhhhhhhh, I hate mornings. Good thing it's Thursday, the weekend is almost here.”

[Why does class have to be all the way across campus?]

“Hey cutie, you ok? You seem annoyed.” She says.

“Yeah I'm good just not a morning person, frey.”

“Good to know, what class are you heading to?” She asks.

“Art class. Cheesy I know, I thought it would be good to put on a resume for the job I want.”

“That's great I just switched into that class last week!” She says excitedly.

“Why weren't you there last week then?”

“The process took longer than expected, so I had the mornings free all of last week.” She explains.

“Sounds nice, wish this class had open spots for the afternoon, that's when I’m most productive.”

“We wouldn't be in that class together if they did, It's fate!” She says laughing.

[Fate did basically make us meet so I wouldn't be surprised.] “Yeah fate for sure had something to do with it.”

“Well we are early to class. Wanna sit down and chat for a bit?” She asks.

“I would love that actually, it's nice talking to you Frey.”

“It’s Nice talking to you too, you're so sweet and you are actually interested in me, better than most friends i’ve had, so thank you Riley.” She says.

“You're the best thing that happened to me this year, Frey, of course I'm interested in you, You're perfectly you.”

“Thanks cutie, I have something to ask you in lunch if you want to meet me at the cafe at 11, sound good?” She asks.

“I would love to have lunch with you and I will listen to your request.”

“Thanks cutie.”

“Hello, my name is May, what would you like to order?”

“Hi!My name is Freya.” She said,[beautiful and confident as always. I wish I was half as pretty as Freya, even just being friends with someone that pretty must be amazing, better than watching from afar.]

“Thank you!” [She's so perfect, I wish I could talk to her-]

“Hi!Would it be okay for me to sit here?”

“S-sure of course I would love that- I mean I wouldn't mind.”[Why did I say that, I’m so dumb, why can't I just-]

“Thanks so much I don't see any other open seats. I only recognize you out of everyone else here.” She says laughing.

“You recognize me?”

“Of course you sit behind me in biology. Athens, right?”

“Yes, my first name is Riley Though.”

“Nice to formally meet you Riley, My name’s Freya Lin.”

“I know, you're pretty well known considering the size of our Uni.”

“I thought you wouldn't acknowledge me since we’ve only been in one class together this semester.” she says.

“How can I not acknowledge someone as pretty as you?”

“You're pretty cute yourself, Riley.” She says lovingly.

“Heh t-thanks frey.”

“Thanks for the nickname Riley, Maybe I should give you one.”

“You don’t have to my name isn’t e-easy to shorten”

“Don’t worry I want to. What about cutie? I think it fits you well.” She says laughing.

“Well maybe I should call you drop dead gorgeous because that's what you are.”

“Someone sounds annoyed, but thank you for the compliment, cutie.” she says.
