I know I've said it before but every rewatch I do cements this thought further - elijah wood's performance in LOTR is absolutely insane, they really had a character whose name means "wise by experience", hired an 18-year-old to do it, and he delivered so much that not only is it a beautiful and moving role on its own, it's a performance equal to those of the absolute powerhouses he played side by side with like ian holm and ian mckellen. to name just a few

Alright, where do we stand on this one:
My defense: Both are about a guy going to visit his partner's family for the first time, only to be faced with casual racism at first and then overt racism as her parent(s) try to replace him with a white guy who is willingly stealing his identity.

Hey, I need tumblr's help to settle an argument with some friends. Please, please reblog so this goes as wide as possible as I want as many people to answer this poll as possible.
If you want, you can leave your answer and country in the tags/comments.
(also if you find out the character's name or what they're from from someone else's reblog/tags/comments, please answer honestly based on what your answer would have been before someone told you)

went to an elementaryschool musical production and they started the show with the director saying: "Now there's some very small viewers here today, so just so you know. There will be a scary character later in the show. This is her," and a girl in a kinda scary ghost outfit did a creepy walk across the stage, the stood up straight and did a cheery wave, "but remember, it's just Nina. She's pretending to be scary."
Aaaand i would very much like for horror movies to have that as a little bonus feature you can chose. Let me start a movie with Guillermo del Toro showing me a scary ghost that might jump at me, but don't worry, thats just Doug!

I need to know where tumblr stands on this one
I'm firmly in camp "this is a FernGully remake" and Nik leans towards Dances with Wolves

What embarrassing cunts on this website are doing ‘Hogwarts Legacy Pride Week’???
Harry Potter fans don’t deserve any fucking peace, your support contributes directly to JK Rowling’s financial and cultural capital that she uses to attack vulnerable people.
Quite literally funding the legislation that makes people’s lives worse. And don’t even pretend to be doing it to ‘spite JK Rowling’, it’s fucking embarrassing.

Wait... what? I reblogged it when it said "final result" and was at 60/40, but now it's at 50/50 even though the poll closed. Which one of you cursed my poll?
I'm curious about people's thoughts on our "fun" episodes
My defense: both are about a kind of racist detective (one against robots, one against toons) being hired to investigate a murder where the lead suspect is part of the group he is prejudiced about because of that prejudice, and ultimately teaming up with that person to prove their innocence.
