We don’t plan on actively participating in this. Based on how busy we’ve been all week there most likely won’t be any posts tomorrow but neither of us really think the boycott is going to make much of a difference. Tumblr seems to have made up their minds on this. At this point we’re saving our judgment on the new policies until they’ve been around for a bit so we can see how it goes and decide where to go from there.

Jason has been through some messed up stuff in his life, but his husband being turned fifteen again was probably at the top of the list. Though if it hadn’t happened, he never would have found out Dick’s horrible secret.

For what it’s worth: This fic is amazing and cry worthy and just… wonderful.

Lunacy and Love by MeaganRain 

Was inspired by the prompt: He had this look in his eyes that made you wonder just how many people he’s killed. Then, his grin made you realise that he probably lost count.“

An inside look at Jason’s night terrors and how the Bat Family pulled him out of it.

Trigger warning: Deteriorated Mental Health. Low-key suicidal. Be warned.

For what it’s worth: Super good. Definitely comes with some heavy warnings but overall a really good/amazing fic.

A fool once again by xserenity 

“That’s right. You’re an idiot. You’re a self-sacrificing idiot who just—god damn it. Why did you have to do that to yourself? Why do you always have to be the hero?” Jason shouted, voice filled with rage. His fingers were trembling as he pressed down around Dick’s wrist with enough strength to leave marks.

For what it’s worth: Very well written & good fic, 

Lease by Kai_Heartnet 

Gotham is a city made for those who either learn to keep going or those who lose themselves.—Dick Grayson is- or was- a musician known for his lovely voice and soulful lyrics. He was quickly rising in fame before an incident caused him to turn away from the spotlight. Now he shares an apartment with his best friend Tim Drake as they attempt to simply exist in the city known for eating people alive.

(A somewhat more modern take of RENT. If you haven’t seen it, grab some tissues and settle in for the long haul.)

For what it’s worth: This fic is absolutely wonderful & amazing.

Robin’s Nest by chewysugar 

On a rainy night, Jason Todd is once again thinking himself to death. But when Nightwing arrives on the verge of giving up and letting go, Jason realizes that he doesn’t need to think if he can feel. And what he feels for Dick Grayson might be the thing that saves them both from walking off the edge.

For what it’s worth:If you want a fic that tugs at your heart this one is it, it’s so good.

Ooh ooh, how about top fics you think should be made into movies?

That is a great question! Honestly a lot of these will be previously recommended (potentially all of them) because I really love fics with great visualization and I think that’s a pretty good start for a movie. Also!!! I’d love to hear other people’s ideas on what fics would make good movies! Here are those ideas~

Temporary Bliss by StoryBookMuse 

“Stop!” Nightwing screamed as the Red Hood pressed the barrel against Tim’s head. The boy wonder groaned as Hood’s heavy armored arm squeezed around his neck, cutting off his air further and choking him.

“This one’s mine, now,” Hood’s mechanical voice sneered, taunting him. Nightwing quickly darted his eyes between the unforgiving red mask and Robin’s strained, pleading face in a panic. Hood took a step back, dragging Tim with him towards the edge of the roof.

“Wait, no! Take-…take me,” he pleaded, reaching an arm out towards Tim helplessly in a wordless plea. Dick almost gasped with relief when Hood paused in clear interest. Dick dropped to his knees.

“Take me.”

For what it’s worth: This would probably be rated R but I think it would make a fantastic movie! This fic is so well written and includes so many good scenes it would make SUCH a good movie.

Bite Me to the Bone by elwon 

After six months walking around with a beating heart, Dick wishes he could use the speed, strength and abilities he’s used to. Because he’s still a soulless demon deep down. Being able to walk in the daylight and eat pizza do not make up for this utter humiliation and punishment. But then the Red Hood appears, and things start to look up.

For what it’s worth: This is the first fic I thought of when I read this ask, it would make an absolutely amazing movie and I can totally picture everything that happens (especially flashbacks??? ugh this would be so cool)

You can’t assume anybody’s gender.It must change to ‘Behind every successful husband, there is a wife.’ Cause wife is just a title, not a gender, and, yeah, let admit it, there are a wife and husband in every relationship.Things are the same, just a lot stranger when you’re a powerful mob boss, and your other half is a hot ass super-hero.

For what it’s worth: Okay so this is slightly different because I really think that the overall story would work really well as a TV series, but like… the story of how they met/got together or some event in their lives would make a fantastic movie.

Dick was only doing what he thought was right. But he never expected how one good deed would change his whole life.

For what it’s worth: This fic is just… amazing. Absolutely amazing and the amount of details that would make this a good movie… It’s just amazing.

So there are pretty much… 0 teacher/student AU’s. There’s a few with teachers so I’ll recommend those, but unfortunately we don’t have any that are teacher/student as far as I can tell. Here you go~

Detention’s the Least of Your Problems in this Dimension by orphan_account 

Tim is an average high school student, but he has a problem. He’s locked in the math room’s closet with Jason Todd and it turns out his crush Mr. Grayson is from another dimension.

For what it’s worth: Super cute, not actually jaydick (mostly referenced in this case) but definitely a cute/fun read.

Holiday Party by fishfingersandjellybabies 

As he watched Mr. Grayson and Mr. Todd fumble beneath the mistletoe, Mr. Drake could only wonder how his students got so clever.

For what it’s worth: This is a double teacher AU and definitely adorable and funny. 

School’s Out by BeautyInTheLibrary 

Jason Todd hated to break bad news to parents, not usually cause of the news itself, mainly cause he just hated to deal with parents who thought he should suddenly be every one of his students parent when they were at school. He was a teacher, he seriously did not get paid enough for that. But he called in Damian’s father cause he knew it was the only way to get through to the kid. He was expecting Dick Grayson to be like many of the other parents that darkened his door way, but he was nothing at all like his expectations and he was also unfairly attractive. And single.

For what it’s worth: Absolutely adorable. I love the idea of Jason being a teacher and Dick as a parent I think it’s amazing. 

Wayne Academy for the Incredibly Gifted and Annoying by Living_Free 

Bruce Wayne is the well regarded founder and principal of the illustrious Wayne Academy. He runs a tight ship, and he likes few things - his job, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, and Damian.

He does not like Mr. Kent, Nurse Todd, or Mr. Harper.

And yet, they will all come together to keep Wayne Academy running on a day to day basis.

For what it’s worth: Cute & funny plus Jason is a nurse which just matches him so well!

Knight’s Gambit by Volavi 

Roy really wants to set up Dick with Lian’s chess teacher. Dick isn’t interested in getting into a relationship, but Roy can be very persuasive. And very stubborn. And perhaps a little conniving. Hey, life’s just a chess game, isn’t it?

For what it’s worth: Another cute & sweet fic with plenty of adorableness.

Lol I thought the same! But it appears several tags with dick in it are still available, I agree with the person that said that it’s probably the amount of nsfw content that’s in the tag as that appears to be what tumblr is working on right now. Hopefully it all gets cleared up soon! OKAY so, for anyone wondering I did some searching and it appears that recently tumblr starting updating things due to some inappropriate content involving minors that was found on the site. They’ve been deleting/purging a lot of things but only in regards to this matter. 

This is similar to what happened a few years ago where all the nsfw tags were blocked (which is what’s happening now) so I think the tags will be working again at some point (when I have no clue). 

This is all I could find, but hopefully people find this helpful.

Hey, how have you guys been doing? I noticed you haven't been as active lately, and I was wondering if everything was okay?

(part 2)  Omg, ahhh sorry that was totally my bad. All your posts have just not been showing up on my dashboard for some reason. I got two in the past two weeks, so I was a bit confused. Sorry about that!!!

So I know you probably didn’t think you were right the first time but you kind of were lol (but I’m sure tumblr is just hiding posts) so basically our posts are super sporadic now because we are super busy due to school/holidays/life/other things as soon as the new year starts I will do my best to get things back on track and make sure that we’re posting daily again, until then we are trying to get things posted at least 1-2 things posted a week to keep everything moving along.

After getting assigned to assassinate some rich boy named Dick of all things, Jason thinks he’s in for an easy paycheck. He really wished someone warned him about how charming his target was. Ending up in his bed was definitely not part of the contract.

For what it’s worth: Super cute & super funny. This fic is very good.

It’s just Jason’s luck that his attempt to take a night off from crime fighting results in an assassin coming to kill him in his own home. What’s a little more surprising, though, is that assassin turning out to be his soulmate.

In which Jason is the underground street dancer trying to make something of himself, Dick is the classically trained aerialist with a secret hip-hop alter ego, and perissologist is the fic writer who puts her blood, sweat, and tears into figuring out how to describe choreography in a way that sounds natural–a.k.a., the dance AU of your god damn dreams.

For what it’s worth: Not really ballet centered but a very good dance fic nonetheless. (There’s definitely ballet in it though)
