I don’t mind the labels “Batman greatest success/failure” for Dick and Jason respectively, but I think people don’t understand what they mean. They refer to Bruce’s actions and results in trying to save them from the fate of a lonely orphan that watched his parent(s) die tragically in front of him; they do NOT refer to Dick or Jason’s accomplishments as characters. Bruce saved Dick from becoming another angry, traumatized kid that felt like he had no family. He couldn’t save Jason because in the end, Jason ran away because he felt like a biological mother was his only chance at having a parent that wouldn’t leave him. Because Bruce, unknowingly, caused him to feel that way. That is Batman’s greatest failure, not some unfair criticism of Jason labelling him as the “worst/angry Robin” claiming that he’s a black mark among the Bats. Quite honestly, “Batman’s greatest success/failure” has nothing to do with Dick or Jason as people, only Bruce’s role as a parent to them.

"they gonna make him kiss one of Dick's ex's 😭😭😭" from a Helena fan btw. I haven't read about her yet but if y'all are mad for the new Jason's ongoing comic announcement, because you are afraid she'll get reduced to a love interest, why are some of you doing the same thing by bringing up another male character? I understand the sentiment but c'mon...
I haven't met a Dick fan who cares a bit about what happened between them, they just pretend it never happened. Let's keep it that way🙏

Sameee. It's so frustrating not to see her golden skin in modern media anymore. It's just not the same Kory for me :(
Maybe it's my bias for NTT (Very possible) but I miss the more golden yellow tone of Kory compared to the more orange tone they give her now.

Of course I don't hate the orange but I'm just more of a fan of the golden vibe that gives her that ethereal feeling. But that's just me.

Still can't grasp the idea of a piece of art being able to show such tenderness and intimacy. Almost brought tears to my eyes. 🥹
show me, show me, show me how you do that trick
[id: a drawing of dick grayson and joey wilson from new teen titans, done in shades of red. dick is laying on top of joey, smiling into a kiss. joey has a hand on the back of dick's neck with a thumb on his jaw. they're laying in grass, a tree behind them. /end id]

So, they made Batman, who believes in redemption and second chances for his foes (AND ANYONE ELSE), to doubt and not speak up when it's about a child? Especially a child?

Robin and Batman: Jason Todd #1
There are grown ass villains doing the most horrid things but a clearly troubled kid doesn't have "salvation"?
I'm not going to pretend that I care about Alfred, but the way they made him talk about Jason feels really OOC, I can't take it. "I fear even you may not be able to save this one, Master Bruce". The way my jaw dropped.
Don't they realize that as adults they are fully responsible for anything concerning that traumatized kid? Bruh
#i feel i'm being oversensitive about this topic#but it makes me sick the way they are about jay making him a lost cause#first issue and i don't think i can handle the rest if they keep pushing this mindset#jason todd#batman#bruce wayne#dc comics#will my english make this rant have some sense? hope so

The Complete Authority Reading Guide
Born from the late 90s and early 00s trend towards darker superhero stories, The Authority debuted in 1999 with The Authority #1 by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch for WildStorm. The Authority fights for what they see as best for the world regardless of the cost. The Authority was one of DC’s best-selling books under Mark Millar and Frank Quitely. The team appeared in their series, as well as other WildStorm and DC titles. Their last appearance came months before the launch of DC’s The New 52. Since the N52, most Authority characters have been retconned or forgotten. Only the team’s breakout star Midnighter (and sometimes Apollo) remains active in comics.
This is a comprehensive guide to every appearance of The Authority's main characters: Jenny Sparks, Jack Hawksmoor, the Engineer (Angela Spica), the Doctor (Jeroen Thornedike, later Habib bin Hassan), Swift (Shen Li-Men), Apollo, the Midnighter, and Jenny Quantum.
Issues marked with an asterisk (*) don't feature Authority characters but do provide context.
Issues marked with New Button emoji (🆕) are newly added as of the most recent update. The emoji will be removed when the guide is updated again.
StormWatch
WildStorm was an independent studio established by Jim Lee in 1992. It was bought by DC Comics in 1998 and ran as an imprint until being shut down in 2010. Before The Authority debuted, there was StormWatch. StormWatch (1993) and StormWatch (1997) are the first appearances of most of the Authority’s original lineup.

The New 52 and Beyond

Whether midpollo loses or wins, y'all should read about them if you haven't!!! You're missing unbelievable levels of yearning...
They were together since their debut in 1998. Got married in 2002 and even adopted a daughter together. They deserve so much more recognition.
