_Ìyá Wúràola_* 🇳🇬 " *Tomorrow is Iya Wuraola's birthday* " I saw that on Anike's timeline and I couldn't bridle my now bulgy eyeballs, oju opolo you might say.The heartbreak here was that the funny sound of the latter didn't correlate with my intent .Oma se o! The reason was not far fetched unlike the stream that divided the clans of Iya Wura. It was our beloved Iya's birthday and I planned to surprise her by taking a trip all the way back to where she lived. My eyes only turned sore when I realized she still lived where she was born. Her naming ceremony was massive. The village could forget in a haste her names but not the feasting and drinking they experienced that day. Iya Flora's daughter - The priest wife that christened her sat beside me throughout my journey helping me fix the jigsaw of Iya Wuraola life poco-a-poco. I was really small then but that was the first time I took emu, my mom and dad were so intoxicated that they left me to the dance floor. This must be good, my subconscious mind thought so I took a gulp and joined them on the dancefloor. We all basked in the euphoria,not knowing the things the young lady would pass through. _She stood out among her colleagues, like an emerald amongst mere stones yet she was raped,bruised and tormented by her supposed caretakers. Nevertheless ,she grew in the midst of all these shackles, constantly ravaged by all ills. Her people suffer in the midst of plenty since corruption has sank it's teeth deep into all treasures and maladministration rose higher than the tallest skyscrapers . In her land the gun's mouth is as loose as the wanton's ass. How possible could that be ? I asked Anike on hearing that. Haha! But all of her mates have moved to the city, what is she still doing there ?.
